Alan James McLeod 'Are there any truly unspoiled exotic locations left to discover? That is the question he poses as part of his inspiration for new work. Here in Childwickbury was a body of intriguing abstracts with layers of interest to captivate the viewer. Perhaps his work in textiles explains the subtle synergy he creates between decorative elements and textured surfaces to imbue each work with mystery and meaning using gouache, gold paint and gold-leaf.' DESPITE COVID RESTRICTIONS & COOL WET WEATHER
Loads of places to eat and drink with seats all around I loved talking to the artists & watching them work
The weather wasn’t too bad today
It was reassuring to see the Covid checks in place
The range of art and crafts was fantastic Lots of gift ideas to buy on the day
