A BRIEF OVERVIEW ABOUT THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS AND THEIR DISTRIBUTORS Integrated circuits or IC is a microscopic electronic circuit which is formed by the fabrication of different electrical and electronic components such as transistors, capacitors and resistors on a semiconductor material wafer. The ICs are classified as analog integrated circuits, mixed integrated circuits and digital integrated circuits based on the intended applications.

Digital integrated circuits The ICs that operate only at a few defined levels instead of operating over all levels of signal amplitude are called as digital ICs. These ICs are designed by using multiple numbers of digital logic gates, flip flops, multiplexers and other electronic components of circuits. These digital integrated circuits are frequently used in manufacturing of computers, microprocessors, digital signal processors and frequency counters.
