WISDOM FROM THE STARS
These are short channeled messages for the collective.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
Spring teaches us that frozen ground will give way to fertile soil and that when ready, tight buds will unfurl and blossom. This season asks you to ponder what is ready to burst forth in your life.
This issue arrives at a moment when change feels less like a gentle breeze and more like a strong wind off Lake Michigan. The wind is shifting, and our communities are evolving. Many feel the internal nudge to reassess, release, and realign.
Inside these pages, you’ll find reflections on intentional living, conversations about healing that challenge conventional narratives, reminders to soften into stillness, and practical
ways to support your body as the season turns. You’ll meet practitioners holding space for transformation by helping people remember who they already are. Because growth is not about becoming something new, but allowing what is already alive within us to blossom.
Let this be your invitation to step into spring with intention. If you’re ready for expansion, I hope this lifts you up to take flight. If you’re uncertain, I hope you’ll find something on these pages to ground you. You don’t need to have it all figured out to move forward, only a willingness to take a step.

The third card is from the Messenger Oracle. Here we have the Embrace Spirit card. Alone, it's telling us to recognize the energies around us. What happens when you're having a conversation with a friend, and you have a revelation about yourself? Does your hair stand up? Does your neck tingle? That is spirit showing up, thanking you for hearing the message. Embrace that feeling. Embrace the knowledge that spirit is with you and around you every day.
How do they all tie together? Let's see if we can put a pretty little bow on it.
Mercy - forgiveness. As we step into this new season with new beginnings, reflect on where you came from. Reflect on the things that didn't go exactly as planned. Recognize if you are holding onto any negative feelings from the experience itself, feel them, then forgive yourself for holding onto them longer than necessary. You may find that in the process of self-forgiveness and compassion toward others, you have found a little more of yourself. You've brought peace to your being and to your soul. And when you find more of yourself, a little more of that transformational butterfly wing is able to expand. Show yourself love for what you're growing through, then embrace it. Embrace what you have been shown through the presence of spirit; through the divine With a deeper understanding of yourself through forgiveness and love, settle in and ask your guides and intuition to steady your path forward.

With love, Theresa

We live in turbulent times. While we tend to think of time as linear, various traditions speak of time as cyclical. Western astrologists have been talking about 2026 being a year of rapid change with the outer planets moving into new signs. In The Fourth Turning, Strauss and Howe present a cyclical generational theory pointing toward a climactic crisis in the next five to seven years. In Chinese metaphysics, we have recently begun a twenty-year era (Period 9) ruled by the Fire element. Fire, by nature, is explosive energy that isn’t predictable. We can study history and how to navigate through these cycles. However, the cycles are more like spirals, and we are never under the same set of circumstances. We can get ideas and inspiration from looking back at past cycles, but ultimately, we need to learn how to surf!
The practice of Feng Shui teaches us how to surf. Feng means “wind” and represents movement, change, and invisible forces. Shui means “water” and represents fluidity and adaptability. Feng Shui is the practice of intentionally arranging our spaces to create balance, harmony, and flow, which then permeates all aspects of our lives.
2026 (technically, 2/17/2026 through 2/5/2027) is the year of the Fire Horse. Since the Horse is considered an inherently FIRE animal, the element alignment of 2026 is FIRE, and as previously mentioned, we are in Period 9, a twenty-year era ruled by FIRE. This is set to be an extremely intense year! All five
elements have positive and negative aspects. Fire can be momentum, passion, innovation, ambition, speed, charisma, and fame. However, in excess, it can be impulsivity, aggression, impatience, vanity, and volatility.
The answer is not to fight Fire with Fire, but rather to become like Water. Water cools, surrounds, and starves the excess Fire. Water is formless and thus can shift easily in response to its surroundings. Learning to become more Water-like, learning how to be responsive rather than rigid, will be extremely beneficial this year. Fires burn out when they have consumed all of their fuel, so this year, don’t fuel the Fire. Instead, learn to surf!
Feng Shui has its roots in Taoism. Taoism, wind and water, surfing–they are all about balance. Taoism applies the Five Element Theory to everything. It is a comprehensive framework for body, mind, spirit, and personal space.
Feng Shui is the branch of study that addresses our personal space. In terms of our space, the Fire element rules the back center of the home or room (see the bagua map on the next page). Fire is represented by the color red, triangular/pyramidal/star shapes, animal images/materials (leather, wool), and, of course, fire itself (candles, fireplaces). The goal of Feng Shui is an overall balance of the elements For example, we should avoid too much Fire in a Wood sector as Fire will burn it. However, a touch of Fire added to an Earth sector can enhance that area as Fire feeds Earth (think of fertile land around a volcano).
With this in mind, do a quick check of your space. Use the bagua map to define areas of your home and to balance elements through color, number, shape, and the element itself. Here are some things to consider:
Make sure not to overdo the Fire element in your decor. Avoid excessive amounts of red, animal prints/materials, triangles/stars/pyramids. As we have unfortunately seen in recent years, wildfires can arise quickly, burn fiercely, and jump unexpectedly from one place to another. Keep the Fire element in check.
Add Earth and Water elements for grounding. This will help to maintain composure and avoid being easily angered or overly anxious. It also helps us to go with the flow and navigate unforeseen circumstances. Add Water literally with a fountain or figuratively with flowing or asymmetrical designs, blacks and dark blues, and singular items.
Add the Metal element to encourage attention to detail and planning. Add Metal literally or by using white, black, gray, and metallic colors, and circular/spherical shapes. Having thought of plans A, B, and C will allow you to assess a situation calmly and shift gears as needed. The Metal element is fundamental for setting boundaries and establishing order. Boundaries are especially important as the societal events and mass media vie constantly for our attention. The powers that be attempt to keep us addicted to outside drama, which distracts us from doing important work at a personal level.

This last point is of the utmost importance–boundaries. We must discern what is actually ours to carry and what is not. Wildfires are challenging to control. We will do best this year if we can focus on the things over which we actually DO have control–ourselves and our immediate surroundings. True health integrates body, mind, and spirit in relationship with our surroundings. Cultivating a sanctuary at home fosters a positive energy shift that extends far beyond your front door If we want to create a better world, we need to start with ourselves and our homes. Feng Shui teaches us howhow to create a better world, how to set and honor boundaries, how to stay centered and grounded, and how to surf.

State of Grace LLC has been in business since 2013, supporting women through seasons of transition.
I work with women who feel stuck in the inbetween. They’ve outgrown a role, relationship, identity, or way of living. They can feel the grief of what’s ending and the pull toward something more. They’re ready to reclaim themselves and consciously step into what’s next.
I won’t rush you, push you into action, or bypass your grief. What you get with me is what’s real. Honest presence. Grounded guidance. I’ll help you stop abandoning yourself and begin moving forward with integrity, at a pace that honors your body, your faith, and your truth. I’m not interested in hype or performance. I’m interested in what’s true.
I’m a Spiritual Midwife, Life Coach, Women’s Retreat Facilitator, Yoga Instructor, and RESET Breathwork Facilitator. For over two decades, my path has included bodywork, energy healing, yoga, and leadership. I began as a nationally certified massage therapist, later became a Reiki Master and yoga instructor, and
eventually answered the call to become my own boss. Each step was guided by quiet, persistent nudges from God. They never left me alone until I listened
Those nudges led me from Colorado back to my hometown of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I loved my life in Colorado and had just begun building my business. I didn’t want to leave. I even asked God for a very clear sign if I was truly meant to move. The sign came within days. Two months later, I was on my way back to Wisconsin.
At the time, I didn’t fully understand why. Years later, when my father became ill and eventually passed, it became clear. I had been led home to support my family. Building a

strong, flexible business allowed me to show up when they needed me most. That season reshaped my understanding of success, leadership, and faith. It deepened my integrity. I don’t teach from theory I guide from lived experience
My work is grounded, embodied, and honest. Transformation isn’t about fixing yourself or striving to become someone new. It’s about remembering who you already are. Healing and leadership don’t come from force. They come from faith, personal sovereignty, and the courage to tell the truth about your life.
Through 1:1 coaching, RESET Breathwork, yoga, sound healing, women’s retreats, and seasonal programs, I guide women back to their own wisdom. Our work focuses on integration, emotional clearing, and creating space for what’s next. There’s no hype here. No hustle. Just real support from someone who walks her talk.
What I love most is witnessing women come home to themselves. I see them move from confusion into clarity, from overwhelm into steady presence, from self-doubt into quiet confidence. Not because I gave them something new, but because they finally trusted what was already within them.
My spiritual awakening wasn’t one dramatic moment. It was a series of thresholds. Moments of surrender. Moments of trust. Moments of realignment. I’ve learned that real change doesn’t happen in the mind alone. It must be lived in the body and anchored in truth.
At the heart of State of Grace is a simple belief: You already carry what you’re seeking. In seasons of grief, growth, or rebirth, you don’t have to walk alone. I hold space with reverence, love, and Spirit-led integrity as you reclaim your voice, reconnect with your body, and step into a life that feels aligned and fully your own.

Stillness is often misunderstood, especially in a world that rarely slows down long enough to feel it.
It isn’t silence, and it isn’t retreat. It isn’t stepping away from life.
Stillness is something more subtle. A softening. A listening. A place where life has room to settle.
Most days, we move quickly sometimes without realizing how fast we’re going. Our attention stretches outward, the body stays alert, and the breath grows shallow. Even when we pause, there can be an undercurrent of effort, as if rest must be earned.
Stillness invites something else. It invites us to arrive.
One of the great misconceptions about stillness is that it requires the absence of sound. As composer John Cage once observed, “There is no such thing as silence. There is always something happening that makes a sound.” When we stop waiting for quiet and begin listening instead, stillness becomes far more accessible.
In my own life and work, listening has always been the doorway through music, through the body, and through years of sitting with people as they gradually come back into themselves. I’ve watched breath deepen and shoulders soften the moment there is enough safety to pause.
Often, what supports that pause isn’t language at all. It’s something more elemental. A steady tone. A simple rhythm. A gentle vibration that
We live in a time of constant stimulation. Sound, light, information, and expectation fill nearly every moment. Much of this sound asks something of us attention, response, interpretation.
But sound is not something we step outside of. As sound theorist R. Murray Schafer wrote, “The ear has no lid; it is always open.” Stillness doesn’t require sound to stop; it asks us to soften our relationship to what is already holding us.

Gentle, resonant sound can become a bridge between movement and rest. It gives the body something steady to lean into. When the body feels that steadiness, it naturally begins to release effort. Breath deepens. Muscles soften. The nervous system shifts toward restoration.
Stillness, supported by sound, becomes less fragile.
Less effortful. More trustworthy.
These are not practices to perfect They are invitations to listen.
Let sound come to you the room, the breath, a distant hum. Listening without preference allows the body to settle on its own.
NOTICE VIBRATION, NOT JUST SOUND.
Feel where sound lands in the chest, the belly, the bones. The body often releases effort when vibration is felt rather than analyzed.
PAUSE INSIDE A SIMPLE SOUNDSCAPE.
As listening deepens, notice what’s left— sensation, clarity, a sense of being more here. Let that be enough.
Stillness is not the absence of sound; it is a different way of meeting it. When sound is offered gently, and listening is allowed to deepen, stillness becomes a place we can rest rather than a state we must achieve. We stop performing and striving, and something steady begins to support us from within. Stillness doesn’t ask us to become anything other than what we already are. It meets us when we slow down enough to listen when sound, breath, and sensation are allowed to settle us from the inside. In that quiet exchange, something calm and enduring reveals itself, not as an answer, but as a presence we can return to again and again.

Spend a few minutes each day with a single, steady sound a tone, a hum, or a piece of gentle music. Let it hold the space while you do nothing at all. BALANCE ON BUFFALO | SOUNDSPACEUSA Manitowoc, WI balanceonbuffalo com 920-684-8880 | info@balanceonbuffalo.com

In coaching conversations, I often hear people talk about what they're trying to find. They want to find balance. Find peace. Find love. Find clarity. Find themselves. Even U2 laments that they still haven't found what they’re looking for!
It's one of those words we use so naturally that we rarely stop to question it As I started thinking about it, I realized how passive finding something sounds, like discovering misplaced car keys or stumbling upon a hidden path. It is almost like the perfect version of what we are looking for exists, and if we just keep searching or wait long enough, we'll eventually find it.
But what if you are actually trying to find what your spirit is calling you to intentionally create?
Through my work in leadership, coaching, and personal transformation, I've seen that the most meaningful growth happens when people stop searching outside themselves and instead begin listening inward. That shift is both practical and deeply spiritual. It's about reconnecting to your inner wisdom, your values, your purpose, and your sense of belonging to something larger than daily responsibilities and expectations.
In my work with individuals and teams, this intentional journey often unfolds through four transformational stages: Review, Reflect, Restore, and Reclaim.
Review is the moment you allow yourself to become curious about your life without judgment. Spiritually, this is where you begin listening to the voice inside – your intuition. We tend to bury this voice beneath busyness, expectations, and in our fear of change. When people say they want to find balance, they are often responding to a deeper spiritual signal that something feels “off.” Reviewing where you are invites you to slow down and ask:
Whatpartsofmylifefeelenergizing ordraining?
WheredoIfeelconnectedtopurposeor disconnectedfrommeaning?
WhendoIfeelmostlikemyself?
Whatvaluesfeelnon-negotiableinthis phaseofmylife?
Review is not about fixing. It is about noticing. Many spiritual traditions emphasize awareness as the first step toward transformation. When you allow yourself to observe your life with curiosity, you begin reconnecting with the inner guidance that often knows the direction long before your logical mind catches up.
This is where intention begins to awaken.
If review is listening, reflection is understanding.
Reflection allows you to recognize the lessons, patterns, and beliefs that have shaped your path. It creates space to ask deeper questions about why you make certain choices and how those choices align with your authentic self.
Spiritually, reflection helps you reconnect to your sense of meaning. It encourages you to recognize that your successes and struggles carry insight that can guide your next steps.
At this step, people often realize they weren't missing balance or peace but were actually disconnected from themselves. Reflection becomes a sacred pause that allows you to realign with your internal compass.
When you reflect intentionally, you begin to trust that your life is not random or accidental. Instead, it becomes a series of experiences that are shaping who you are becoming.

In a culture that often celebrates constant productivity, restoration asks you to honor your humanity. Restoration is one of the most spiritual and most overlooked parts of growth.
Spiritually, restoration is about returning to who you are meant to be. It means rebuilding your energy and reconnecting with practices that ground and center you. This looks different for everyone. For some, restoration happens through stillness, nature, prayer, meditation, journaling, or creative expression. For others, it happens through healing conversations, setting boundaries, or allowing space for grief, forgiveness, or release.
You cannot live intentionally when you are disconnected from your own spirit. Restoration creates the capacity to make choices that reflect your truth rather than reacting from exhaustion, fear, or obligation.
When people restore their energy and alignment, they often discover a renewed connection to self, to others, and to something greater than themselves.
Reclaiming is where intention comes to life.
Spiritually, reclaiming is not about reaching a final destination or transforming into someone entirely new. It is about allowing your authentic self to emerge more fully. It is about living in alignment with your values, gifts, and purpose in ways that feel both grounded and expansive.
Reclaiming requires courage because it asks you to trust growth, even when it feels uncertain. You are invited to let go of outdated identities and step into roles that reflect who you are.
When people fully step into this stage, they often realize they did not actually find balance, peace, love, or purpose. They cultivated it through consistent, intentional, and spiritually aligned choices.
Balance becomes something they adjust as life evolves.
Peace becomes something they practice daily.
Love becomes something they nurture through presence and compassion.
Purpose becomes something they live rather than something they search for.
REVIEW, REFLECT, RESTORE, RECLAIM JOURNEY
is not a straight line

The Review, Reflect, Restore, Reclaim journey is not a straight line. Life naturally invites you to revisit each stage again and again. With each cycle, your awareness deepens, resilience is strengthened, and your sense of meaning expands.
Spiritual growth and intentional living are deeply connected, inviting you to trust that you are not simply moving through life randomly, but participating in a continual process of becoming.
This process of intentional living does not require perfection. It requires presence. It asks you to remain curious about your growth, compassionate toward your challenges, and open to the wisdom that unfolds through experience.
When people begin this work, they often come hoping to find answers Through this intentional work, they discover something far more powerful. They discover that the balance, peace, love, and clarity they were searching for have always been part of them.
They were waiting to be acknowledged, nurtured, and intentionally lived.
And when that alignment between mind, heart, and spirit begins to form, life starts to feel less like something you are chasing and more like something you are consciously, courageously, and meaningfully creating - one choice, one breath, and one step at a time.

Spring is a season of fresh starts. We open windows, clean closets, and clear away winter buildup. But while many focus on spring cleaning their homes, they often forget one of the most important places to reset their skin.
After months of cold air, indoor heat, and heavier products, skin can feel dull, dry, or uneven. Dead skin cells accumulate on the surface, preventing moisture from absorbing properly and leaving your complexion looking tired instead of radiant. Many assume this is just part of the season but it’s actually your skin asking for renewal.
Spring is the perfect time to refresh your routine removing buildup while choosing cleaner, more effective ingredients.
Your skin is not just a surface it’s a living, functioning organ. What you put on your skin doesn’t just sit there. Studies show ingredients begin absorbing into the body within seconds.
Many conventional skincare products use water as their first ingredient, along with fillers, artificial fragrances, parabens, or petroleum-based oils. While these may temporarily soften the skin, they often do little to support long-term skin health and can interfere with natural renewal.

sed ingredients support your skin eliver hydration, nutrients, and owing your skin to function

Exfoliation is one of the most important and most overlooked — steps in skincare
Your skin naturally renews itself approximately every 21 to 28 days, but this process slows with age. Dead skin cells remain longer, leading to dull tone, dry patches, fine lines appearing more noticeable, and products not absorbing effectively.
Gentle exfoliation removes dead skin cells, allowing fresh skin to surface This helps moisturizers and serums absorb better while creating a smoother surface so makeup applies evenly, blends easily, and maintains a more natural finish.
For best results, exfoliation should be done year-round, typically one to two times per week. While spring is ideal for resetting your skin, regular exfoliation supports smoother texture, improved clarity, and a healthy glow in every season.
The key is choosing gentle exfoliators, not harsh scrubs that can damage the skin barrier. Fruit enzyme exfoliators, like L’BRI’s Facial Peel, dissolve dead skin cells without abrasion, revealing brighter, smoother skin.
The Renew Facial Exfoliator helps refine texture and minimize the appearance of pores while supporting smoother, more even-looking skin
Anyone experiencing acne should avoid harsh scrubs, as they can spread bacteria, increase irritation, and slow healing. Gentle enzyme exfoliation is a safer, more effective option.
Just like spring cleaning your home with intention, your skincare should reflect your goals. What you put on your skin plays a powerful role in how it looks and feels. Choosing products that support hydration, balance, and renewal helps your skin function at its best.
L’BRI’s aloe-based system hydrates deeply while plant-based oils and nutrients strengthen the skin barrier. Products like the Cleanser, Freshener, and Moisturizer cleanse, balance, and protect without stripping your skin. Customized to your skin type — not your age — they ensure your skin receives exactly what it needs. When properly supported, your skin naturally becomes healthier, stronger, and more radiant.
A Hyaluronic Intense Moisture Boost Serum enhances hydration. Hyaluronic acid holds up to one thousand times its weight in water, improving elasticity and smoothing fine lines
The result is skin that feels softer, smoother, and visibly refreshed just like a true spring reset.
Spring is a reminder that renewal is always possible. By removing buildup and choosing clean ingredients, you support your skin’s natural ability to heal and glow.
Healthy skin isn’t about using more products — it’s about using the right ones.
When your skin is properly exfoliated, hydrated, and nourished with clean ingredients, it restores balance, reveals vitality, and allows your natural glow to shine through.
And when your skin glows, your confidence follows.

Submitted by Tammie Trippler, Awakened Lakeshore
Awakened Lakeshore was not born from a business plan. It emerged from a pause and from listening closely when life asked for something different.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was working as an ICU manager while pursuing a doctorate in nursing leadership. Like many in healthcare at that time, I was carrying immense responsibility amid fear, uncertainty, and loss. Over time, the direction healthcare was moving no longer aligned with who I was becoming.
I wasn’t just burned out I didn’t like who I was under that level of pressure. The stress narrowed me, hardened me, and pulled me away from myself. So I made a decision that felt both unsettling and necessary: I stepped away. I paused my education, left my role, and gave myself time
without another job lined up
It wasn’t an escape. It was a necessary pause one that gave me space to recover, reflect, and eventually evolve.
For the first time in years, I slowed down enough to reconnect with myself — my body, my emotions, my inner life. During that time, I experienced my first Reiki session. What stayed with me wasn’t anything dramatic or sensational, but a quiet internal knowing a sense of alignment and clarity I hadn’t felt before. Not a command, but a recognition that this work mattered.
I followed that knowing thoughtfully. I trained in Reiki and reflexology, deepened my
meditative practices, and explored supportive modalities such as essential oils and sound meditation with crystal bowls. Alongside this, I studied Human Design as a way to better understand myself my patterns, my energy, and how I’m designed to move through the world That personal exploration eventually became another way I now support others through Human Design coaching.
After completing my training, I opened Meridian Wellness in a small rented space. What began as a focused practice grew steadily, drawing people looking for something more integrative something that addressed the whole person, not just isolated symptoms.
As the work deepened, it became clear that the next phase wasn’t about expanding
alone. What was needed was space for collaboration a place where different practitioners, perspectives, and modalities could coexist and support one another. That clarity shaped the decision to move Meridian Wellness into a larger building and invite other practitioners into the space.
As plans for a grand opening began to take shape, it became evident that this was no longer just about one practice. It was becoming a shared space a collective offering rooted in presence, care, and connection. During meditation, the name Awakened Lakeshore came through with steady clarity. I questioned it at first, but it remained. Awakened wasn’t about striving or becoming something else; it reflected awareness, presence, and being.
At its core, Awakened Lakeshore is grounded in the understanding that being human is an experience beautiful, layered, and at times deeply difficult. Growth does not come from pushing through or bypassing what hurts. It comes from allowing ourselves to be exactly where we are, without judgment or urgency to change.
Here, healing is not about doing more. It is about being. It is about creating space for emotions that society often tells us to suppress — anger, disappointment, grief, bitterness and recognizing them as part of the human experience. When people are supported in feeling rather than numbing, in listening rather than overriding, something begins to shift.
What I’ve come to see is that much of the medicine lies in learning to meet ourselves with compassion not once we’re healed or whole, but exactly as we are. Not in spite of our imperfections, but alongside them.
This work is about expansion. About learning to live authentically by allowing the full range of what it means to be human — the beauty and the difficulty to coexist. When people are supported in slowing down, feeling what they’ve been carrying, and meeting themselves with curiosity and compassion, they begin to reconnect with who they are beneath survival.
Awakened Lakeshore finds its purpose.
Awakened Lakeshore is a space intentionally created to feel safe, grounded, and inclusive.
It welcomes people exactly as they are regardless of political beliefs, religious affiliation, or identities of any kind. There is no prerequisite for belonging here What matters is that you are human, and that you deserve care, respect, and love exactly as you are.
We are here to walk alongside people offering tools, space, and support as they learn to listen to themselves and honor their own pace. Nothing is imposed, and nothing is rushed. Each person remains deeply connected to their own experience.
In that meeting, growth happens. Expansion happens. And being — fully, honestly human becomes enough.

It’s from this understanding of presence, acceptance, and shared humanity that

While working at the University of Iowa, I was developing drugs to treat central nervous system “disorders” like schizophrenia. What if schizophrenia weren’t a condition that needed to be “fixed,” but rather something the soul chose for this lifetime? Follow me for an inside glimpse into the inner workings of an incredible mind like this that most people have never been able to experience until now.
Through the lens of Western medicine, I viewed all diseases, ailments, and mental challenges as “problems” that just needed to be fixed, somewhat in the way a mechanic looks at a car in the shop. However, after my own profound healing in 2019, I have come to realize that we are so much more than that.
I am blessed to be able to work with people on a deep level to really understand why they have come into this life the way they are and why they experience this reality in the way that they do, which has dramatically shifted my perception of mental health. These deep realizations not only provide insights into an individual’s life, but they can also result in some pretty profound healing. I think what I love most about this work is that I am essentially just a guide in the process, which opens up the door for people once they realize how powerful they truly are. It’s pretty incredible to witness.
Mostly, I am working with the client in a deep state trance where we can figure out what’s going on behind the scenes and heal from the inside out. In my formal training, I was told not to work with anyone diagnosed with schizophrenia or dissociative identity disorder (DID), primarily because there was a lack of understanding at the time. However, I really felt in my heart that this approach could really help individuals who experience life through those lenses.
I know these conditions manifest in many different ways, but overall, I have found that these individuals have an expanded awareness compared to what most of us are accustomed to. Instead of just throwing drugs at external symptoms, this approach addresses the whole person The first part is the healing and clearing of their field energetically, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. With less static or interference, it’s a lot easier to help them learn how to navigate life from that state of awareness.
What I find interesting is that after the healing, they often come to the realization that this arrangement was part of their gift that they chose for this lifetime. But just like empathic people, it’s not a gift if you don’t know how to use it. Part of the later healing process is helping them discover how to use this gift. In other cultures, a medicine man would take this person under their wing and teach them how to have a foot in both worlds (physical and nonphysical reality) and help them develop their spiritual gifts, but we don’t do that here… yet.
My hope in sharing this work is not to convince you of anything, but rather, open and expand your heart and mind to entertain a different point of view that may change the way you view the world. The example I picked to share has a lot of different facets and angles to give the reader an idea of the many potential contributing factors that may give rise to the challenges faced. Interestingly, these factors are not uncommon in any client; however, other clients are not as aware and not as strongly impacted. I’m grateful to the family that shares this vision and has allowed me to share this in the hopes that it would help other people.
Initially, I was presented with this case by the individual's mother, who explained that he suffered from delusions, heard voices, had paranoia, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and Asperger's (now designated as Autism Spectrum Disorder), and they had tried so many conventional methods of helping him. Even though I heard what she was saying, deep in my heart I knew that I could help this individual, and this is part of WHY I do what I do.
Without going too in depth, he heard several voices, some being more pronounced and common than others. All the voices made it hard for him to function in the world. Because he is already so connected to these aspects, it actually made it really easy to connect and work through them.
About two-thirds of the voices were energies or
IT’S NOT A GIFT IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE IT.
entities that were attached to him in this life, but they had a past-life connection that carried over into this lifetime. Several of them just wanted their story told, while others were looking for closure in those other lifetimes and experiences. We addressed them one by one by determining what each needed (healing, closure, release, etc.).
One of the more notable and interesting voices was Joan of Arc, who was an aspect of himself in a past life. She heard voices guiding her in that lifetime, and that "openness/awareness" (schizophrenia) carried over into this lifetime This was also the source of paranoia because people were after her and killed her because of the voices she heard. In this life, my client thought people were after him for the same reason. We worked through that one just like any other past life, and in turn, she became a protector aspect for him.
One of the parts that took a little more finesse was the voice of a best friend who had passed away. They didn't want to let go of each other, and they were still attached currently. I had to reinforce for both of them that they don’t have to stay attached in order to stay connected,
because staying attached required my client’s energy to do so. This freed up both of their souls so they could move on.
Another one of the voices was actually a guardian angel that had been around since he was young. Clearing the other interference helped him to have a better connection with this guidance. As we were talking, I couldn't help but think that if I told a medical professional everything that I think, know, believe, and perceive, I would probably have a similar diagnosis.
Once he had a chance to process and clear some of the interference, there was a noticeable shift already in his energy and state of being. He noted that he felt relieved and at peace.
Just like all of us, I know there’s more healing on the horizon, but his mom recently shared that this has made the biggest improvement compared to anything they’ve done. I’m very aware that this challenges a lot of traditional beliefs, but how do you argue with results? This was only one session so far, so I’m excited to witness what unfolds with subsequent sessions.

As you can see, these cases can be complex, but when we really take the time to understand, magical transformations can occur. The best part is he is still himself; in fact, I would argue that he is even more of himself than before.

As I have mentioned before, I feel that these individuals have an expanded awareness, and that makes it hard to be in this reality. Through this lens and an understanding of nonphysical reality, these healing techniques can help so many people who face these mental challenges. For me, being on the frontier or fringe definitely has its challenges, but it’s also extremely exciting and rewarding, and I am hopeful for the future. I feel that it’s time, and the world is ready.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I should mention that I focus on all aspects of healing (physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual), and this topic represents only a small sliver of what I do. I just felt that this is an underrepresented area when it comes to healing, and it’s been very eye-opening for me. Spring is a season that almost everyone feels, whether they are consciously aware of it or not. There is a subtle but undeniable shift as the days grow longer, the light softens, and something within us begins to stir. In Kototama Inochi Medicine, this seasonal transition is not merely symbolic it is biological, energetic, psychological, and spiritual all at once. Spring represents renewal, emergence, and the reawakening of life force after a period of inward stillness. It is a time when the body, mind, and spirit naturally seek movement, expression, and growth.
Kototama Inochi Medicine is a Japanese lineage of acupuncture that understands the human being as an integrated whole. Rather than separating physical symptoms from emotional or spiritual experience, this medicine recognizes that the organ systems of the body are living expressions of consciousness itself.

Each organ carries not only a biological function, but also a psychological orientation and a spiritual quality. When these systems are harmonized, the spirit settles naturally into balance. When they are strained or stagnant, that imbalance is reflected in how we think, feel, and experience the world around us.
Spring is traditionally associated with the Wood phase, and within Kototama Inochi Medicine, this corresponds most strongly with the Liver and Gallbladder systems. Biologically, these systems govern detoxification, circulation, and the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. Psychologically, they are associated with vision, planning, motivation, and decisionmaking. Spiritually, they relate to our sense of purpose and our ability to move forward in life with clarity and direction.
After the inward, conserving energy of winter, the Liver system is naturally called upon to mobilize stored resources. This is why spring is often accompanied by strong emotional experiences. People may notice irritability, frustration, restlessness, or a sudden urge to make changes. From a Kototama Inochi perspective, these experiences are not problems to suppress they are signals that energy is attempting to move. When that movement is supported, it becomes creativity,

insight, and renewed vitality. When it is blocked, it manifests as tension, headaches, digestive discomfort, or emotional volatility.
On a personal level, spring invites us to reconnect with our inner momentum. This is the time of year when we feel compelled to clean our homes, reorganize our schedules, and reconsider the direction of our lives. Kototama Inochi Medicine views this impulse as a natural expression of the body’s desire for alignment. As the Liver system regains flexibility, we become more capable of seeing possibilities rather than limitations. Decisions that felt overwhelming in winter may suddenly feel obvious Energy that was dormant begins to rise.
Psychologically, spring supports a return to optimism and forward thinking. The Gallbladder system, closely paired with the Liver, governs decisiveness and courage. When this system is balanced, we trust our choices and move forward without excessive doubt. When it is
strained, we may feel paralyzed by options or overly critical of ourselves and others.
Acupuncture within the Kototama Inochi tradition gently restores harmony to these systems, allowing the mind to settle into clarity rather than force
Spiritually, spring represents the return of life intention. In Kototama Inochi Medicine, spirit is not separate from physiology it is expressed through it. As energy rises in the body, many people experience a renewed sense of meaning or curiosity about their path. This may not come as grand revelations, but rather as subtle shifts: a desire to spend more time in nature, to reconnect with creative practices, or to engage more deeply with relationships. These impulses reflect the spirit responding to a body that feels supported and alive.
Biologically, spring is a time when the body benefits from gentle stimulation and support. The use of Japanese acupuncture, moxibustion,
hand work, and energy-based techniques helps regulate the transition from winter’s conservation to spring’s expansion. Moxibustion, in particular, supports circulation and warmth, encouraging smooth energetic flow without overstimulation. This approach is especially important in climates like Wisconsin, where seasonal shifts can be abrupt and taxing on the system.
Kototama Inochi Medicine does not push the body to change; it listens. Treatments during the spring often focus on restoring rhythm rather than correcting symptoms When the organ systems are brought back into resonance, the body naturally knows how to adjust. Sleep improves. Digestion becomes more efficient. Emotional states stabilize. Energy feels available but not frantic. This is the quiet intelligence of the body reasserting itself.
Spring also asks something of us consciously. Renewal does not happen automatically simply because the season has changed. Kototama Inochi philosophy reminds us that harmony arises through relationship with our bodies, our environment, and our inner lives. This is a time to notice where rigidity has crept in and where flexibility is needed. It is a time to soften old expectations and allow new expressions to emerge without forcing them into shape.
In many ways, spring is an invitation to trust life again. After the introspection of winter, Kototama Inochi Medicine encourages us to step forward gently but intentionally. Growth does not require strain. Renewal does not demand urgency. When the organ systems are balanced and the spirit is supported, change unfolds naturally.

One of the things I speak on is the importance of connection in recovery and, frankly, in life. I have found that although one would think it is the big things in life that connect us, and sometimes it is (graduations, birthday parties, weddings, etc.), it is usually the little things that truly make us feel connected. As humans, we have an intuitive need for connection, to feel seen and heard by the people around us. I was talking to a friend, and she shared how a random connection made her feel. How a thoughtful gesture from a relative stranger, that simple act of kindness, made her feel safer in that moment. Although she had never met this person, that little thing made a connection and made her feel more at ease.
But perhaps the most surprising thing I have learned about connection is how the little things make me feel more connected with myself. Sunsets, early mornings in nature, quick conversations in the car with my children, coffee talks with friends, times when I am truly present and mindful. That is when I feel most connected to myself. This deep connection allows me to increase my connection with others, with more of a desire to show up for them in a way that makes them feel seen and heard.
I have realized how much more the little things mean to me in my recovery, so much so that I use this realization as a way to assess when a person is in what I call grace, the final stage of recovery. They notice the little things. They start telling me how different they feel about the simplest and smallest of moments. They realize and recognize how big the little things are in their lives. They show up with more empathy and become better listeners to the people they care about. Most of all, they express gratitude for being witness to those little things and realize the depths of how, in active addiction, those moments were missed.
It is through these small acts, these little things of life, that we find more connection, which is what builds the foundation for our relationships. And here, in the relationships of our lives, is where we find healing.
What little things do you notice in your daily life? How do you connect with yourself and the people you care about? Is there space in your life to notice the little things? INWARD PATH COUNSELING
