DMM ALLOY CONNECTORS DIRECTORS
Directors are versatile, compact, termination connectors. Strong yet lightweight, the Directors use our shortest gate to maximise gate opening and clearance. Directional design loads the connector in the strongest orientation and the ‘Rhino’ horn stops devices loading on the spine. Directors are perfect on lanyards or when used in conjunction with Linkits, as part of pre-configured assemblies to reduce the length of systems. The Yoke and Swivel Boss versions can also be interlinked with each other to form a double connector that swivels and pivots. Patented and Pat. pending features.

DMM PULLEYS RIGGER PULLEYS An evolution of the Triple Attachment Pulley first brought to the market 10 years ago by DMM. The hot forged swing-cheek pulley with an inbuilt three hole rigging plate allows creative configurations and enables direct connection to textile components to save on weight and complication. The Rigger Pulleys feature a new axle construction achieved by using highly accurate CNC operations, which produces a stronger axle/side plate interface for increased longevity. Bolstered connection areas lead to high configured strengths. The side plates boast increased fairleads and tuned angles for more efficient prusik minding. DMM PULLEYS PINTO & PINTO RIG PULLEYS With hardly a straight line in sight, the hot forged curves and fairlead flares of our Pinto Pulley make for an ultra efficient, ‘textile friendly’ environment. Clip, hitch, splice or thread the anchor holes or the becket to give numerous work and rescue configurations (textile attachments can help minimise any torsional build up in closed systems) Pinto comes with minimum fuss, highly efficient Oilite bushings. The Gyro range features three models: single sheave; single sheave prusik minding; and dual sheave prusik minding with becket. All feature sealed roller bearings and rope friendly fairleads to maximise efficiency. The Gyro PM and Twin features prusik minding side plates can be used in efficient progress capture hauling systems. The twin also has a load bearing becket for versatile rigging. KEANU If precision, speed and efficiency are important in your rigging, then the Keanu is your answer. By incorporating multiple ball bearing sheaves within fixed side plates, not only have DMM taken away the need for numerous connectors and pulleys, DMM have created a trolley that makes it easier to lift and move loads with precision and speed. The side plate ‘cut out’ allows pulleys such as the Gyro PUL230 to retreat within the trolley profile, minimising height loss in a highline reeve system. All components are replaceable and optional high-strength pins can be installed to add extra components or to allow direct connection to control and back up lines.

Dyneema is a remarkable material and it is true to say that it has revolutionised sling production. It has several advantages over nylon webbing. For a start it is incredibly light and strong, it is also less susceptible to UV degradation and is more abrasion resistant. For sports climbing Nylon comes into its own. Nylon has the same strength as Dyneema, but because there is physically more material they offer a greater safety margin should they be dragged over a sharp edge. Their variable width makes holding the draw easy and safer in those desperate moments.

Twined
Parallel-wound twines
Twined and Shrunk
In the twining process, 2, 3, 4 or 5 single sheath yarns are twisted together at a specific tension and rotation speed. The twisting of the yarns increases the surface area of the mantle and thus improves abrasion resistance.
This method combines the advantages of the twined and the multiple wound sheath constructions to produce the highest quality ropes on the market. The sheath yarns are first twisted, and then wound in parallel onto the spools. We use this complex construction exclusively for our top class ropes which require highest breaking strength and maximum abrasion resistance in equal measure.
In this method, the yarns are shrunk in an autoclave after twisting. This shrinking process ensures that the rope remains supple and easy to handle throughout its working life and does not re-shrink, even after heavy use. The twined mantle construction also guarantees maximum abrasion resistance.

Braided
In this method, the yarns are wound onto the spools in parallel instead of being twined. This guarantees maximum utilisation of the fibres and ensures the highest possible breaking strength values. The one minor disadvantage of these ropes is that they are slightly less abrasion resistant than twined ropes.
This is the standard method of core construction. Depending on the type of rope being produced, 3, 5 or 6 basic yarns are twisted to form a core yarn. In a static rope, the loadbearing core is constructed from 13 – 22 of these core yarns.
In this complex method, the raw material is braided to form 1, 2 or 3 layers depending on the type of rope being produced. This results in a particularly compact structure. Ropes with a braided core have better dimensional stability and higher edge stability than ropes with a twined core. The are also easier to splice and have higher breaking strength with sewn terminations. such, they continue to perform well and provide high safety reserves even in wet conditions.

The KAA is a prefabricated haul system for lifting persons in case of rescue or for tensioning a system. In addition, as the KAA is certified according to EN 354, it can be used for workplace stabilisation, as a restraint system (open/closed) and controlled lowering. SLIDE GATE This new generation of locking carabiners has an automatic locking mechanism integrated into the gate. The slide gate is auto-locking, quick, intuitive and can be operated with one hand. As there is no barrel that can get in the way, the carabiner can rotate freely in bolts and devices. This improves handling for better stance organisation.
TRIPLE LOCK Triple-lock carabiners require three separate actions to open the carabiner. This offers extra safety compared to screwgate and twist-lock carabiners. However, one-handed operation is pretty difficult and takes practice. They are ideal for situations where maximum safety is called for.

PERMALOCK Innovative screw gate carabiner with an additional locking mechanism on the locking sleeve. This is made possible by the smart PERMALOCK locking mechanism. Due to the integrated pressure lock, the rotating locking sleeve of the carabiner gate can be blocked and is thus secured against unintentional opening. Thus the Permalock combines the safety of a locking carabiner, according to category 3 of the German Alpine Club (DAV) provisions, with the user-friendliness of a normal screw/snap carabiner.
