As owner and Chairman of the Hadrian Healthcare Group, I am extremely proud of the reputation we have gained for being the North’s premier provider of elderly accommodation and care services.

I am passionate about our commitment to excellence and our aim is always to provide ‘person-centred’ and compassionate care within a luxurious, carefully designed, homely setting.

This new development in Whickham has a very special significance for me personally.

I have lived with my family in Whickham for over 45 years and as such, I know how much the community needs a high quality elderly care facility.

That is why I am totally focused on ensuring we create something very special, both in terms of the standards of accommodation we offer and the quality of care and expertise we deliver.

The location of The Manor House Whickham in the heart of the village, just a stones throw away from all the local amenities, will ensure its residents remain and continue to feel very much part of community life.

As an experienced manager of elderly care services over many years I am extremely excited about the opening of The Manor House Whickham.

I know our accommodation standards and features are going to be superior in so many ways, but most importantly I am excited about building a team to deliver a very special and unique standard of ‘person-centred’ care and support to any client who chooses to make The Manor House Whickham their new home.

The Grange and Derwent Suites are designed for clients to enjoy their own private accommodation within ‘small living groups’ allowing residents to maintain independence whilst at the same time ensuring 24 hour personal care is available and at hand when needed. Residents enjoy their own dining bistro, cafe and shop as well as access to a residents private cinema, ballroom and bar area.

We recognise the special needs of people with dementia and other memory impairments.

Nursing Care The Fellside Suite is specifically designed for those clients who need the support and assistance of 24 hour nursing care.

Residents accommodation remains luxuriously appointed and homely but has the necessary design features to ensure appropriate nursing care can be delivered as and when required.

Our single storey ‘Chesters’ accommodation has been specifically designed to provide such clients with surroundings that are homely, safe and stimulating.

Our staff at ‘Chesters’ are specially trained to help manage the unique needs of residents suffering from varying degrees of dementia and at all times ensuring our care delivery remains ‘person-centred’.
