Dunster By Candlelight has a truly packed schedule this year! Father Christmas’ grotto, lantern lighting procession led by stiltwalkers and Medieval tabourer, Minehead Handbell Ringers, Exmoor National Park Authority torchlit walk to Conygar Tower, samba drummers, glow artists, West Somerset Brass Band, balloon modelling; face painting, children’s trail (with prizes), knights’ battle, milling by candlelight; circus skills, Johnny Kingdom, Exmoor Zoo Creature Feature, bouncy castle, church services & charity stalls.

With lots of Christmas special offers and plenty of mince pies and mulled wine to go round, come and watch the street entertainment and visit Santa too!

2011 is the 25th year of Candlelight, which always takes place on the first Friday and Saturday in December - 2nd and 3rd next year. Join in the celebrations to mark this special anniversary and help us raise a record sum for the Hospice.

Dulverton by Starlight Sunday 5 December... and all month!

Throughout December until Twelfth Night Dulverton is transformed into a twinkling delight of white lights and Christmas trees. Soak up the festive atmosphere in this unique Exmoor town, avoid the hustle and bustle and discover that Christmas shopping can still be magical. Brimblecombe, Dulverton Dulverton boasts a wealth of independent shops, restaurants and tearooms. If you haven’t visited before you have missed a treat! On 5 December Santa arrives on his reindeer sleigh at 2:30pm, followed by carols at 6pm and free fireworks at 6:30. www.dulvertonbystarlight.co.uk

Wednesday 8 December, 6pm Delight in the festivities in Williton as the children parade with their lanterns from Danesfield School to the village. Stalls and activities in West Somerset House and meet Santa and the Snow Queen who will be there as you catch up on your Christmas shopping.

Wiveliscombe With the Christmas lights switch on & Santa on his sleigh, Wednesday 8 December, 5-9pm

Porlock Saturday 11 December, 6-9pm Join in the merriment as the Snow Queen and Jack Frost make an appearance in Porlock. As the handbells ring in Christmas the illuminated stilt walkers, bands and carol singers all lead you to Santa’s grotto where the big man is waiting just for you!
