When you say “yes” to Exeter, you get matched with one dorm for the entire time you’re a student here. The dorm is where you make your first friends and connect with returning students who will show you the ropes. Your adviser is a member of a dorm team made up of faculty and student leaders, and they are all here to get to know you and cheer you on — from day one to graduation and beyond.
Upstairs. Downstairs. Next door. Across the hall. At Exeter, you are literally surrounded by friends in all grades from around the world. Among these friends will be student listeners who provide peer support and proctors who cultivate community through dorm-wide activities.
Students of all ages live under the same roof as teachers and their families, so there is always someone around to celebrate your successes, help solve a problem, or just hang out in the common room and hear about your day.
Day student? You’re a member of a dorm too! It’s a home base for down time, study sessions, hanging out and weekend sleepovers.
You might take a trip to Boston with your dorm mates, go bowling with friends on your floor, or dig in to a home cooked meal in your faculty adviser’s apartment. And then, after you graduate, you have a lifelong connection with your dorm community.
