I can’t believe we are at the end of our first half term of this year already It only seems like yesterday that we were returning to school following the summer break. However, the trees are finally turning gold, orange and red as autumn begins to assert itself.
Regardless of the weather, the strive for achievement continues at pace for all our students. Whatever the children’s skills, interests and abilities, there are achievements to be gained at The Excelsior Academy, some of which you can read about in this edition of the bulletin
I would especially like to wish our Year 11 and Year 13 students all the very best for their forthcoming intervention programme during half term and their preliminary exams, which start after the half term break - being well prepared is a vital component of a successful examination series.
Congratulations also go to our October Jack Petchey Award Winner; you can read more about this below.
I wish everyone a good half term break, and I look forward to us all returning on Monday 3 November.

Platinum Ticket Raffle
During assemblies this week Heads of Learning held their first Platinum Ticket Raffle Students were entered for every week they had 100% attendance Lots of fun was had in assembly as many students were selected to win prizes for this half term! A huge congratulations to everyone who won a prize!
