Lytham Hall is a fine Grade 1 listed 18th Century Georgian manor house, which sits at the end of a mile long driveway, surrounded on all sides by almost 80 acres of historic parkland. Built by John Carr of York in the 1750’s for Thomas Clifton, it is an unspoilt example of a Georgian Country house. We would like to welcome you both to the Hall to discuss your aspirations for your big day. It will be our delight to introduce you to Lytham Hall and show you around this beautiful venue.

We are licensed for marriages in both the Georgian Hall and our West Wing. Both are full of charm, character and steeped in local history.
The Gold Room is decorated with richly ornate 18th century hand-painted wallpaper and gold-leaf ceiling high mirrors with a lovely vista of the lawn. There is an ornate marble fireplace, making it perfect for winter weddings. This room is licensed for 60 people.
The West Wing with its original oak beams and high pitched roof is a lovely airy space. Windows on two sides make it a warm and bright room. This room is licensed for 90 people with a centre aisle.

Guests can circulate in the elegant Grand Entrance Hall with its stone flagged floor and rococo-style plaster work. Your guests are free to wander through the stunning rooms of the Hall, soaking up the atmosphere of an elegant Manor house of days gone by. You have exclusive use of the ground floor rooms of the Hall and inner Courtyard for photographs and drinks. Our 78 acres of grounds, with the Mount, Lily Pond, formal parterre garden and endless lawns and woodland, are perfect for your photographs at any time of year. It is recommended that your photographer visits prior to the day to fully appreciate the photographic possibilities

Reception Ideas After the ceremony, drinks and canapes are usually served in the Grand Entrance Hall from where guests can circulate on the front lawn in the summer or relax around the blazing log fire in the colder months whilst the wedding photographs are being taken. If you are staying with us for your wedding breakfast, guests will then be escorted through our inner courtyard to the West Wing or across to the marquee depending on your choice of setting.

Your Exclusive Venue Weddings up to 80 guests can be catered for in our beautiful West Wing by our in-house team of experienced chefs Our Wedding co-ordinators will take you through our menus, liaising closely with you to ensure the finest attention to detail. Larger parties can be accommodated in a marquee reception on the front lawn. For such occasions we have been working with one of the Fylde’s finest caterers for over 15 years. Please ask for further details of our partners. We will be delighted to talk through your ideas to make a wedding day to remember.
Steeped in History Lytham Hall is one of only two Grade 1 listed buildings on the Fylde coast, the other one being Blackpool Tower. In 1199 the Manor of Lytham passed into the hands of the monks of Durham who founded a Benedictine priory and manor house. Upon this site now stands Lytham Hall. It is a perfect example of a Georgian Country house, rich with Italian plaster work and magnificent marble fireplaces, standing in 80 acres of wooded parkland – the perfect setting for your wedding. The Clifton family had been in the area since the 12th century and purchased the Manor of Lytham in 1606. They were a colourful family and lived in considerable style. Strong Catholics, they were accused of conspiracy during the Lancashire plot to restore James 11 but were later acquitted. The many fine family portraits, furniture and original fittings still convey the feeling of a private residence. The Estate originally consisted of 16,000 acres and the Hall would have been self-supporting with its own bake-house, brewery, buttery, dairy, ice house and chapel. The family were renowned for their racehorses and had a three and a half mile race course in the grounds. Other Estate buildings include the impressive gatehouses, an unusual dovecote with 850 nesting boxes and a large stable and courtyard.
