We want to give you as much legal help as you need, so you can support your family. Now would be a good time to make sure everything is in order.

We advise on:-

• Lasting Powers of Attorney

A new treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease Until recently, drugs were the only form of treatment which could slow the effects of the disease in Alzheimer’s patients. Now the NeuroAD™ System by Neuronix is the only non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical medical treatment proven to actually reverse symptoms for patients with early mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease. Used in addition to, and not instead of, existing therapies. The patented technology combines two proven clinical modalities: repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation with Cognitive Training (rTMS-COG). NeuroAD™ has been tested in clinical studies across leading institutions and has been shown to cause a significant improvement in cognitive ability. Whilst not every patient will have the same response, the following improvements are common approximately six weeks after the therapy ends: · Better language, name and face recognition · Greater independence and social interaction · Noticeable improvements in attention and focus · Improvement in memory, mood and daily living activities Call 0870 162 0673 ext 2, email neuronix@phoenix-mhs.com or visit www.phoenix-mhs.com/rtms to find out how we can help.

A New Treatment for Alzheimer's Disease

Suffolk House, 54-55 The Green, Wooburn Green, High Wycombe HP10 0EU

A major problem with having a diagnosis of dementia is that everyone plans for a downward spiral. It’s what we call therapeutic nihilism and is always the case in medicine until a treatment comes along which can actually make a difference. NeuroAD is the turning point for early to moderate dementia. For the first time, we have a treatment which can actually improve symptoms and enhance quality of life. This means that all the other treatments, which already exist, take on a new significance. High dose Donepezil and Memantine together, can slow the progression of the illness, whilst good cardiovascular care, reducing drugs which impair cognition, exercise and certain food supplements can all assist. The NeuroAD programme is comprehensive and starts with a consultation with a consultant in older adult psychiatry who can (if necessary) diagnose, assess severity and advise on a range of treatments. If the patient decides to go ahead, a special MRI scan is done to locate the areas of the brain to be treated. Treatment consists of 30 one hour sessions on weekdays where specific brain areas are targeted by magnetic stimulation whilst the patient carries out targeted cognitive exercises. Six weeks after the end of therapy, the psychiatrist reassesses severity. Improvements last for up to a year and therapy can be repeated then. Treatment is based on evidence from clinical trials done around the world and is virtually free of side-effects. Phoenix Mental Health Services were the first in the UK to offer this treatment and therefore have the experience to advise you whether it is suitable for you. Their therapist, Jasmin, is very happy to give prospective patients more information by phone or email.
