“Bem vindo” to Dr. Ryan Abegglen!
August 22, 2019
Excela Health Day at the Fair Summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean the fun should stop! On August 19, nearly 100 employees and their family members visited the Westmoreland Fair to celebrate Excela Health Day! That evening visitors to the Excela booth could get their blood pressure checked by volunteers from the orthopedics group, learn about career opportunities from Excela Health Home Care & Hospice as well as be educated on stroke awareness. As the evening continued the Excela Health team huddled together for the annual group photo. Thank you to all who enjoyed the event with Excela Health!
Welcome to Dr. Ryan Abegglen, a new addition to Excela Health Surgical Specialists, practicing at Excela Square at Latrobe. Dr. Abegglen joins Excela after finishing his surgical residency at UPMC Mercy. Along with his surgical expertise, Dr. Abegglen brings a unique skill, he is fluent in Portugese! Dr. Abegglen’s schooling spanned the country, beginning with his undergraduate degree at Weber State University in Ogden, UT. His philosophy of care reflects his focus on his family, “I strive to treat my patients in a way that I would want and expect my family to be treated in the same situation.”
