I am fascinated how an arrangment of form, texture and light, state of flux, mass and absence of it, translates the language of physcial space into the world of senses and beyond

My name is Ewa Wroblewska. The story begins from the passion to dancing, allowing me to feel the presence of space, explore its physcial dimensions and interact with it.

I have often found myself immersed in the observation of tiny details, that of everyday beauty, as cold texture of the flooring, softness of sun rays and dance of shadows. Gradually, more complex forms drew my attention, as the heaviness of aging wooden doors or a grounding interior of the local chapel.

Process of creating have always navigated me through conveying spatial qualities to others. I am definitely driven by curiosity, passion of questioning and celebration of simplicty, honesty, beauty.

Our natural state of being is tuned with nature’s frequency, that we have largely disconnected with during Information Age. While designing a space for students to expand their knowledge and satisfy curiosity,

it is thrilling to start with a site such as an old garden. Within the intimate building’s corners enveloped by wooden surfaces, one can be present with the thoughts, feeling safe and calm.

Working with the place strongly defined by the past stories and remains of its architecture, is a hunt. Empty silence of abanodned factory, wilderness filling in the gaps and asleep, heavy energy of the place, elevates ambitions towards potential for renewal.

Finding missing puzzles and seeking questions were utmost brightest sides of the design process. The new village, perceived as a catalyst for creative minds, is engaging communities and individiuals to fulfill the place with their dreams.

Fragmentation and delicacy of the rich, suburban Castle District of Prague dating back to 14th century called up for reverence and recognition. Contextual elements were merged to form a cohevsive spatial language. People from all classes, were invited to

to discover new ways of living in all its splendour. The architectural beuaty of neighborhood, tourist chattering and medieval mystery in the air. Within the new space, one can get lost in the passageways, courtyards, terraces and narrow corners.

Inspired by the heaviness of baroqu walls, the space is directing forces towards it’s focal point. It’s introvercy allows for intimate perception, therefore gentle and tranquil moments, that are essential in the current pace of daily life.

Lack of cultural facilities or daily communal interactions in a strong residential district of Prague was an aim for a transformation, that eventually is a part of every cycle. Remaining old brick train station and abandoned villa, both placed along

an evident railway, were waiting for altered identity. Passing trains were not a curse rather a meditative symbol of passing time resembling liminal space. They completed integrity within new emerging space, appearing behind enclosing skin of buildings.

Getting involved in the practical aspect of creating is an essential form of developing devotion, patience and utmost precision.

To express profound emotion through sculpture, spatial design, architecture, drawing, sound or movement is the greatest mystery irrelevant to the craft itself.
