This show provides an ideal opportunity to view the latest farm machinery and to discover exciting new business opportunities. Recognized as North America’s largest event for dryland farming and direct seeding technology, this agricultural showcase hosts guests from more than fifty-five countries.

With more than 700 exhibitors and some 45,000 attendees coming from across the globe, this show promotes the development of agri-business and provides a great opportunity to network.

Each year, the Canada Farm Progress Show generates more than $500 million in sales of farm machinery and products, attracting over 800 Canadian and 75 international exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors. I’d like to congratulate organizers on the continued success of your International Business Centre, equipment demonstrations, seminars and antique display, tractor pulls and other events.

Agriculture is the backbone of Canada’s economy, driving jobs and growth. Our Government is proud to support this industry by expanding Canadian business in key international markets and promoting trade that is based on fair rules and sound science. We continue to reach out to our trading partners through free trade agreements, like the historic Canada – European Union trade agreement and the recent agreement with South Korea. Once in effect, these agreements will open up markets for farmers, eliminating tariffs on a wide range of products. At the same time, we’re supporting innovation through investments under Growing Forward 2.

Hard to believe Canada’s Farm Progress Show is celebrating its 38th year. What was once a humble gathering has evolved into a premier agri-business event showcasing more than 800 companies. Whether you’re a rancher, exhibitor, product or service rep, equipment dealer, or foreign investor – you are absolutely in the right place.

Regina remains a very proud host of this show – and a fitting one, since the event exemplifies our prairie roots as cultivators with entrepreneurial spirit.

message from the show chair Welcome - Bienvenue - to the 38th annual Canada’s Farm Progress Show. The industry’s leading agriculture showcase was once again recognized as Canada’s largest tradeshow by the Trade Show News Network. This event promotes the latest in dry land farming equipment, technology, services, and practices. Canada’s Farm Progress Show has earned a strong reputation by continually providing attendees with the opportunity to see the latest and best in agriculture production.

While the main purpose of Canada’s Farm Progress Show is to offer dry land farming equipment manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their products to qualified buyers who operate agriculture businesses, it’s also an event where attendees can come to learn about the most innovative farming practices through participation in educational seminars and meaningful discussion with exhibitors. Over 45,000 attendees will visit more than 900 exhibitors located in the 1.9 million sq.ft of show space. Everything that is needed to conduct a successful farming operation will be displayed.

A major factor attributed to the longevity of Canada’s Farm Progress Show is the successful implementation the many featured programs aimed at making a visit to the show an enjoyable and productive one. These programs include the Farm Credit Canada Innovations Showcase and New Product Launches, the Livestock Centre, the Antique Truck & Tractor display and pulls, The Modern Lifestyle Pavilion, and Shuttle Services for attendees and exhibitors.

A truly unique program at Canada’s Farm Progress Show is the International Business Centre (IBC). The IBC is designed to introduce international visitors to those exhibitors that export products. In 2014, 52 countries were represented by more than 500 international visitors. Export member companies are invited to meet the International visitors for the purpose of creating a business relationship.

Each year the Farm Show features something new.

This year a new attraction will be Toys for Farm Boys.

The knock out wheel runs along the suction side of the disk to keep the vacuum pressure constant throughout the planting process. JEFF & EBONY PROSKO Saskatchewan’s Outstanding Young Farmer’s Program (OYF) is designed to recognize young farmers in the province who exemplify excellence in their profession. During Canada’s Farm Progress Show our winner will be announced and will be joining the other National finalists from across Canada to compete for the Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers.

Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers for 2015 will be chosen at the National Event in Edmonton, Alberta from November 17-22, 2015.

J & E Prosko Farms, Rose Valley, SK Jeff and Ebony Prosko have a passion for agriculture, and it shows!

Life for them revolves around their family farm in the small town of Rose Valley, Saskatchewan. Jeff and Ebony along with their daughters Harper and Londyn raise grains and oilseeds in the northeast area of the province. Although they operate their own farm they also work hand in hand with Jeff’s parents Rick and Donna as well as his brother Joel (Meghan) and sister Giselle (Reagen). In addition to operating their farms the group also owns an independent ag retail business called ProSoils Inc. which they started in 2013 and serves the Rose Valley area.

Jeff and Ebony work hard to be innovative and show leadership in the agricultural community. Jeff sits on several industry boards that play roles in policy at the provincial and federal levels as well as groups focused on networking and education. He has a specific interest in advancing good policy for young farmers as their needs tend to be different and unique based on the ever-changing challenges they face.

The focus on their farm is maximizing production efficiency and getting the best yields and quality they can from their crops. They utilize technologies such as variable rate fertilizer and seed applications, sectional control equipped air drills and sprayers along with RTK guidance and the latest seed genetics. Their goal is to constantly evolve and improve all aspects of their business. ◆

Antique Tractors, Trucks & Parade While the Canada’s Farm Progress Show’s main focus is to look to the future of agriculture, event organizers also recognize the importance of saluting the past as well.

Spend some time at the Antique Tractors & Trucks showcase and find out why the farm machinery technology that existed decades ago is still enjoyed by many today!

Many of the machines have been restored to their original glory. The indoor display is open all three days of the show. Twice each day, the tractors are fired up in preparation for a trip around the show grounds in the Antique Tractor Parade. The parade route is often lined with young and old alike who enjoy the sights and sounds of these small but mighty machines of yesteryear. The parade takes place daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and follows the tram route.
