Payday lenders can sometimes seem like your only option when appliances need to be replaced but the interest they charge is very high and can cause people to fall into debt. HIGH SCHOOL HELP GRANTS CEREMONY Congratulations to the five students who received their High School HELP Grants at this year’s presentation ceremony. We wish these students all the best with their education. The grant, which is valued at up to $10,000 per student, lasts for three years and includes two hours a week tutoring in partnership with S4S Coaching. The next application deadline for 2019 HELP grants is March next year.

REDUCING ENERGY BILLS We are on a mission to go green and reduce your energy bills. As part of our Energy Action Initiative we have been piloting solar installations on residential buildings and upgrading hot water heat pumps in homes. We’ve also upgraded the lights in many common areas and installed solar on our office building in Parramatta.

The works completed to date will deliver: total savings to residents and Evolve of $1.94m over the next ten years reduce the need to purchase over 745,000 kWh of energy that’s the equivalent of taking 217 cars off the road each and every year!

SENIORS WEEK SUCCESS In celebration of Seniors Week, our Community Engagement Officer, Rob, accompanied a group of 35 seniors to Mt Tomah for a guided tour and lunch at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Our senior residents enjoyed meeting each other and there was an opportunity to buy local produce at Bilpin Fruit bowl.

BARISTA TRAINING Are you interested in working in a cafe?

Our Barista Training courses will be running again with our partners Darcy St Project. By completing this course you will earn a Certificate in Barista Training. The training will be a mixture of classroom work and practical work experience which can help you get a job.
