Not all SD-WAN are created equal. And not all SD-WAN are supplied by expert service providers. Many SD-WAN solutions are “just good enough” out of the box as simple SD-WAN solutions. Most entry-level SD-WAN include zero-touch provisioning. Conventional SD-WAN systems may not orchestrate all WAN edge functions, including routing, security services, service chaining to cutting-edge third-party security services, and WAN optimisation. When companies deploy new apps or adjust QoS or security policies, a business driven SD-WAN may be configured centrally in minutes rather than weeks or months. The Mako 6600 security gateways not only provide the highest level of protection, but they also handle the broadest range of WAN connections, including Gigabit Ethernet, cable, xDSL, SFP, fibre, and dual-SIM LTE cellular, and are optimised for quick SD-WAN failover performance.

At up to 1 Gbit/s transfer speeds, Mako 6600 devices offer WAN connectivity by single - or dual-SIM LTE cellular, Ethernet, cable, SFP, fibre, or xDSL. Mako can support and secure any Internet connection method that your company employs.
The Mako 6600 carries on our tradition of design innovation by enhancing the highly secure Mako 6500 with a dual-SIM LTE module, faster transfer rates, better VPN performance, and an SFP connector that enables versatile SD-WAN setups while keeping four physically separated LAN ports. The Mako 6600 can withstand challenging network environments, such as those found in retail, QSRs, and the oil industry, because to its sealed, tamper-proof case, lack of moving components, and high heat tolerance.

On the Mako 6600, coloured LED lights indicate the status of the network and Internet connections. This makes it simple for non-technical users to recognise common network faults right away. The Mako CMS includes sophisticated diagnostic capabilities in case more troubleshooting is required.

Ascona
In 2023, Ascona joined our customers as we expand further into the forecourt industry.
Ascona Group has grown rapidly in recent years by following a simple formula, to identify unloved “forecourt assets” in the mid-market space. Typically under independent or family ownership and develop the forecourts into world class roadside retail destinations. This growth led to acquiring a mix of telephony, network providers and technologies across the estate which proved difficult to manage and maintain both from a billing
