We’re excited to work with you to help young people take their first steps into the world of work. This programme has been designed to provide students with high quality, meaningful work experience opportunities that support their personal growth, career awareness and long-term aspirations.
Our aim is to support students by offering placements that are inclusive, supportive and tailored to meet the diverse needs of your students. Whether it’s building confidence, developing new skills, or exploring different industries, this experience is about opening doors and inspiring potential.
We look forward to welcoming your students with us to make a lasting impact on their career pathway.
Work experience with Everton in the Community provides a hands-on and engaging opportunity for individuals to develop both personally and professionally. The placement begins with comprehensive Induction and Safeguarding Training to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Participants will also leave with a Playmaker Qualification, enhancing their leadership and coaching skills. The programme also includes job shadowing, allowing individuals to spend three days with the team of choice to gain insight into different roles across the charity. Additionally, employability coaching sessions are delivered to help build confidence, interview skills and workplace readiness. Further details of the placement will be arranged between the referring manager and the Pathways team to best suit the needs of each participant.
After completing their work experience, students will have the opportunity to become Everton in the Community Young Ambassadors. This role allows them to proudly represent both the charity and their school, promoting the values and work of EitC within their communities. As part of this, they will be enrolled in the Ambassadors Youth Voice Group, which brings together all former work experience students to meet at scheduled times on the EitC campus. These sessions provide a platform for young people to share ideas on how to improve the charity and make a greater impact in the community. Once students turn 16, they will also be offered the opportunity to become an EitC volunteer, supporting their continued development and creating a clear progression pathway to further roles and opportunities within the charity.

Safeguarding at Everton in the Community means taking actions to promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and to protect them from harm - including physical, emotional, sexual, financial abuse or neglect. This includes ensuring that appropriate policies, practices and procedures are in place, and that safeguarding is at the centre of everything we do.
We want everyone who attends any Club or charity-led activities to feel safe and protected. Work experience with us should be safe and enjoyable.
As a work experience provider, we have a duty of care towards all children, young people and adults at risk with whom we encounter. We will make sure all participants have the right information, training and support to complete the activity safely.

We aim to create a welcoming environment for all participants and visitors at Everton’s or EitC’ s activities. Everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, pregnancy, maternity, marriage, civil partnership, race, religion, or sexual orientation (Protected Characteristics under the Equality Act 2010), has the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.
We are committed to treating everyone fairly, with dignity and respect. All members of the Everton family play a crucial role in keeping children, young people and adults at risk safe from harm. We embrace a culture where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, striving to make Everton Football Club and Everton in the Community a place that is truly ‘Safe for All.’
To ensure this environment is maintained, an allocated Safeguarding team is in operation to oversee all Safeguarding matters or issues that may arise from activities run by EitC, including maintaining best practice and challenging incidences of poor practice, should they arise.
Should you have any safeguarding concerns during your time as a volunteer you can contact EitC Safeguarding Manager Julie Lloyd: julie.lloyd@evertonfc.com or email to safeguarding@evertonfc.com.
