Welcoming New Providers

Physicians and providers employed by the health system are part of EvergreenHealth Medical Group (EHMG), a dedicated group of primary care doctors and specialists who provide the highest quality of evidencebased care and exceptional, tailored service rooted in a culture of collaboration.

This year, EvergreenHealth has welcomed 35 new providers to EHMG who share in the team’s philosophy of partnering with patients and one another to understand health care needs and goals while focusing on preserving and enhancing their good health.

Jillian Walsh, CNM EvergreenHealth Midwifery Care

Jillian Walsh is a board-certified midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner who specializes in low- to medium-risk prenatal care, labor and delivery, annual exams, screening and treatment of infections and hormonal and hormonefree methods of birth control. She seeks to empower patients by listening to their goals and providing them with education, so they can make informed decisions that promote their personalized, overall health.

Andrew Thurman, MD

EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Monroe

Dr. Thurman was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after his grandmother was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease when he was a child. Today, he brings more than 20 years of expertise in primary care and specializes in family medicine. Particularly, he focuses on wellness exams, diabetes management, hypertension and typical family health issues.

Avi Goodman, MD EvergreenHealth Orthopedic Care

Dr. Goodman is fellowship-trained in both hand and upper extremity surgery and orthopedic trauma surgery. He specializes in nerve compression, arthritis, fractures, ligament tears and instability, tendon repairs and all other issues from arm to fingertip. Dr. Goodman focuses on providing patientcentered care and listens to patients so he can better understand their symptoms and health care needs.

Alicia Stone-Zipse, DO

EvergreenHealth Obstetrics & Gynecology Care

Dr. Stone-Zipse provides the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care and offers a holistic approach, caring for both the physical and mental well-being of her patients. She wants her patients to leave her office feeling educated, with the tools to make the best decisions about their health.

Jason Poon, MD

EvergreenHealth Multiple Sclerosis Center

Dr. Poon is a neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis fellowship-trained and neurology board-certified physician who specializes in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and other illnesses of the central nervous system. Dr. Poon takes pride in partnering with his patients to help them make decisions that facilitate living their healthiest best. He is supported by a team of nurses and social workers within our Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Center, which is recognized as a Partner in MS Care by the National MS Society.

Adesh Vohora, MD

EvergreenHealth Primary Care Lakeshore, Totem Lake

Dr. Vohora is board-certified in family medicine and comes to EvergreenHealth with a breadth of knowledge in hypertension, diabetes, depression, arthritis, skin conditions and back pain. He believes that communication is one of the most important components when building a strong and healthy partnership between patients and their physicians.

Scott Cuthbert, DO

EvergreenHealth Primary Care, Monroe

Dr. Cuthbert is board-certified in family medicine and comes to EvergreenHealth with a breadth of knowledge in osteopathic medicine, diabetes, women’s and men’s health, gastrointestinal issues and insomnia. Dr. Cuthbert’s care philosophy is rooted in his approach to treat each patient holistically and provide alternative methods to care for patients based upon their needs and desires.

Sahar Khalaj, DO

EvergreenHealth Internal Medicine + Primary Care

Dr. Khalaj speaks both Farsi and English and specializes in providing acute, chronic and wellness care for adult patients. She partners with individuals to help them manage chronic diseases, while also helping patients with preventive medicine.

Rohan Hattiangadi, MD

EvergreenHealth Women’s Specialty Care, Gynecology

Dr. Hattiangadi is a boardcertified OB/GYN who has completed specialized fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, robotassisted surgery with the DaVinci robot and vaginal surgery. He believes it’s imperative to approach each patient visit as an opportunity to listen to them and offer education in an encouraging and supportive environment.

Bryce Kirkman, DO

EvergreenHealth Sport & Spine

As a multi-sport athlete growing up and now a weekend warrior, Dr. Kirkman was inspired to pursue medicine because of his amazement with the human body. He is an EvergreenHealth fellowship-trained physician and brings experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal and spine injuries with nonoperative strategies.
