Events by Darren Keala is a Hawai’i based & influenced floral design company with a passion for weddings, creativity, and beauty. We love to think outside of the box and create unique & custom designs inspired by our couples’ personalities and styles.

We have had the privilege of designing florals for incredible couples celebrating their love on Maui for almost two decades and are honored to have won awards for those years of creativity and dedication. Between the dress, the canapés and the location, there are so many details that a bride needs to consider for her wedding day. One of the most important decisions you will make is what kind of bouquet best mirrors your bridal style and which flowers will look the most beautiful together.

The choices may seem endless. Do you want tropicals or spring flowers, all white and ivory or pops of color, a big boho chic or cascading bouquet? Do you want to mix and match? It is your wedding day and we want you to bring your unique personality into the design process.

Tropical Bouquet

Tropical is usually locally grown flowers, but more recently, tropical is categorized by the color of the flowers.

Price range from $195 (small) and up

Spring Bouquet

Spring flowers are usually seasonal but are now grown worldwide to accommodate the various seasons Priced by bloom & availability

BRIDESMAIDS GROOMSMEN

When picking out flowers for the Matron/Maid of Honor & Bridesmaids there are no rules to follow except to have fun with it. Most people think that your bridesmaids have to carry matching bouquets but smaller in size. We are not most people. You can choose different colors, flowers, or styles. Be as creative as you want. Keep in mind that the camera loves cohesiveness. Consider dresses and the wedding’s overall look when making your decisions.

Best Man, Groomsmen, Fathers & Grand Fathers. There are many options to choose from and it will depend on your style or theme. Because we are in Hawaii you also have the option for leis. Matching the groom will be simple & stylish no matter which option you choose.

Personal Flowers

Let's start with Bridal Hair Flowers. There are so many options to choose from. Loose flowers that match (greens) are $20 & up. Hair Floral pieces start at $75 Haku or Floral Crowns come in many sizes and start at $75 and are not only perfect for the bride but her bridesmaids and flower girls, too

There are many arches to choose from for the ceremony. Whether you want to say “I do” under a 2 Post Arch, Driftwood Arch, or a Round arch, the possibilities are limitless. Flowers for the arch start at $225 per arrangement, and a fully covered arch starts at $1700.

Let's now talk about the other floral possibilities for the ceremony.

The Reception

The Wedding Celebration begins as you both host for the first time as one. Here are some important things to consider. If your reception is outside LED candles must be used, take into consideration the weather and wind. Low centerpieces to not fly away and flowers that will not move off the table if it gets a burst of wind. If your reception is inside we have free range of ideas. Here are some starting prices for you to consider:

Centerpieces start at $175 for small and for larger at $350. Garlands start at $300 for long tables or farm tables

Bar Pieces start at $175

Don't forget the Settings & adding Monstera as a charger under the plate or adding a Calligraphy Leaf, flower or fern to the tuck of the napkin on the plate along with the menu. This adds a special touch to the evening and very personalized.
