ABOUT US WHO WE ARE WHAT’S IN A NAME? In the theater, the fourth wall is the imaginary, invisible line that separates actors from their audience. When an actor addresses the audience directly, they are said to be “breaking the fourth wall,” resulting in a connection that is unusually intimate and rewarding. When that sense of intimacy is brought to an event, the result is nothing short of magic. Founded in 2004, Fourth Wall Events is an award-winning Event Design, Production and Management Company with offices in New York and San Diego. We create extraordinary experiences based on a series of high-impact moments, each designed exclusively for targeted audiences uniquely connected to our client’s brand. Drawing on our understanding of your clients’ guests, industry, and individual needs, we partner with you — our client — to put great ideas into action. Whether you are producing a large-scale formal awards gala, an intimate brand education experience or anything in between, our team will create a custom designed event that exceeds your client’s expectations while staying within budget.

OUR RECENT WORK FOURTH WALL EVENTS is experienced and well-versed in creating and producing award-winning events that build brand awareness, educate consumers, trade and media, reward top clients, build customer loyalty and increase employee retention. Following are several recent examples of our work…

TOURISM TORONTO Over the past three years, we have produced twelve events for our client, Tourism Toronto in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Mexico City and various other destinations considered to be feeder markets for Toronto. The concept was to provide networking opportunities for representatives of their Luxury Hotel Collection to meet and discuss the features and benefits of their city. Tourism Toronto came to us requesting we find unique venues, create and manage the décor, lighting and audio visual which could be leveraged across multiple events, and to create menus that contained a Canadian influence. We worked with their marketing team to design and produce the invitations, RSVPs, name badges and other printed collateral. To achieve our client’s goals, we began each experience with custom save-the-date mailings, formal invitations, and follow up calls. For the first New York event we chose the venue, eSpace, to represent a modern look and feel commonly found in Toronto. Prior to the event, each guest received a small bottle of ice wine, a signature Canadian gift. Between courses, guests were invited to enjoy the works of artists who had flown in to discuss the growing art scene found in Toronto.

OUR RECENT WORK FORTUNE 100 TELECOM COMPANY For the past four years Fourth Wall Events has been honored to be a past of the team that put together 11 (soon to be 12) incentive events for the top sales qualifiers of a Fortune 100 Telecom Company. Hired through a worldwide incentive house, Fourth Wall Events handles all of the design, décor, entertainment and logistics for several evening functions throughout each incentive program. The most recent program (pictured right) took place in Miami, FL and hosted 376 winners and their guests for five nights at the Loews Miami Beach. Fourth Wall Events produced The Colors of South Beach welcome reception on the pool deck. The bright colors of the tropical environment welcomed guests to this once-ina-lifetime trip. Marrying several different areas surrounding the hotel’s pool, the floor plan utilized every inch of space to create seating areas that let each region’s executive host their respective attendees, while still connecting the entire group. The final night celebration, South Beach Sizzles, was so hot it was cool. Ice themed décor filled the hotel’s ballroom, including custom 75lb ice centerpieces on each table and a gigantic ice wall housing individual crystal awards for each guest. This evening has been nominated for a Gala Award for Best Design/ Décor by Special Events Magazine.

OUR RECENT WORK THE EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP COUNCIL The Executive Leadership Council – the nation’s premier leadership organization comprised of the most senior African-American corporate executives in Fortune 500 companies – is dedicated to developing future AfricanAmerican corporate leaders. Each year they host their Annual Recognition Gala, where they honor three important awardees and also award 30 scholarships to some of the nation’s most accomplished African American college students. For their 2010 Gala held in New York in October, they hired Fourth Wall Events to design and manage every aspect of the event. In addition to décor, staging, audio-visual and entertainment this also included developing and managing the entire run-of-show, scripts, videos, sound tracks, invitations, program books, signage, staffing, security and all logistics. Our edict from ELC from the beginning was to design and stage-manage the entire gala to last no longer than two and a half hours – a big challenge for a show that over the years had grown into a cumbersome four-hour program! We accomplished this by working closely with ELC over the course of three months to design and proactively manage every single minute of the 150 minute program. With The Coca-Cola Company as the lead gala sponsor and multiple other Fortune 500 companies purchasing tables, as well as an impressive roster of speakers and the actor Hill Harper as the celebrity M.C., the gala sold out two months in advance and raised close to $6 million.
