2013 - present 71 Design & Print, Haywards Heath, West Sussex
I’m currently running my own graphic design and printing business from my home office in Haywards Heath. The services I offer include designing logos, corporate IDs, brochures, leaflets, business cards, banners and signage etc. I use various trade printers for the print / manufacture. As well as the day to day running of the business, I’ve also gained valuable experience pricing jobs, marketing and networking.
2020 Reigate Grammar School, Reigate, Surrey
I undertook a five month contract to cover paternity leave at Reigate Grammar School, which was last year voted school of the year by Tatler magazine. Working within the busy marketing department, my duties included designing a wide range of printed and digital collateral for the school, including brochures, leaflets, signage, social media ads, website banners and internal digital infographics etc. I also organised photographers for marketing opportunities within the school and dealt with suppliers etc. Since the temporary contract ended, the school have continued to give me freelance design work.
2011 - 2013 GX Signs, Hove, East Sussex
I was the Design / Print Manager for this leading graphics company in Hove. I designed Stationary, flyers, leaflets, menus, brochures, posters and a wide range of signage. My role also involved pricing jobs, outsourcing jobs to print and printing / finishing smaller print runs in- house.
2008 - 2010 Bay Studio, Littlehampton, West Sussex
As the Manager / Graphic Designer for this busy sign and printing company, I designed a wide range of graphics including logos, business cards, brochures, posters, shop fronts, vehicle graphics and exhibition displays. I also operated a Gerber Edge and wide format printer. I was responsible for the day to day running of the company. My duties also included surveying, estimating and pricing jobs, liaising with clients, ordering materials, organising the workload amongst my colleagues and ensuring that tight deadlines were met.
1999 - 2007
Hallsigns, Bognor Regis, West Sussex
I was the Design / Signwriting Studio Manager for this long established sign company My responsibilities included designing and producing graphics for a wide range of signage, from building site and hoarding graphics, to shopfronts and vehicles, labels and stickers. Clients included Goodwood Festival of Speed / Revival and Racecourse, Barratt Homes and Butlins. I also produced work for screenprinting and large format digital print for posters and displays etc. As well as liaising with clients and ordering materials, I was responsible for organising the daily workload amongst my colleagues in the studio and meeting tight deadlines.
1991 - 1993 Active Graphics, Chichester, West Sussex
As the sole Screenprinter within this graphics company, my job included producing screenprinted labels, T-shirts, display graphics and banners etc as well as reprographic work. The day to day running of this department involved liaising with clients and ordering materials etc.
1989 - 1991 Stanley Graphics, Midhurst, West Sussex
After spending my first year with the company as a Trainee Screenprinter, I was asked to take on the responsibility of running this busy department within a large plastics factory. This involved reprographic work, producing screenprinted graphics on a wide variety of stock, as well as ordering materials and liaising with clients.

I achieved an HND in Graphic Design. This course led to 3 weeks work experience at Berkoff Associates Advertising Agency in Camden, London, where I worked on various design and advertising projects.
Through recommendation, this then led to 2 months work experience at H.A.R.P. Advertising Agency in Euston, London, where I was involved in designing holiday brochures for various companies including Sun World and First Choice.
