EUSA STC meets in Greece Student Commission of the European University Sports Association (EUSA STC) met in Athens, Greece between October 22 and 24, 2010. The meeting, hosted by the Hellenic Committee for University Sport (EATE) at the Polytechnic University, was attended by Eleftheria Kallikazarou, STC Chair and STC members Annti Afflekt, Tamar Salomon, Zoltan Rakaczki, Julien Buhajezuk, Maria Rubach, joined by Andrej Pisl, EUSA Communications Manager. Among other items on the agenda, STC members discussed the topics of networking, made some proposals for EUSA Symposium, evaluated the EUSA Volunteer programme and made suggestion for the future. One of the tasks was also the selection of the best photo among the ones received in the EUSA Photo Competition 2010, run by EUSA STC. The winning photo is the photo submitted by Beate Alderslyst from Norway, taken at the European Universities Futsal Championship in Zagreb, Croatia. EUSA STC members and Communications Manager also enjoyed the sightseeing tour and social programme, organised by STC Chair Mrs Kallikazarou and her parent organisation EATE. read more >>

Last chance to enter the competition - 14 October 2010 October 15 is the deadline to submit the photos, taken at the European University Championships 2010. The winner of the EUSA Photo Competition 2010 will be invited to the EUSA General Assembly in March 2011 in Eilat, Israel. read more >>

Students Arena 2010 in Slovenia - 25 October 2010 Students Arena 2010, the largest educational youth fair in Slovenia, took place between October 19 and 21 at the Ljubljana Fair in the capital city of Slovenia. Every year in fall, at the beginning of the new academic year, the fair offers numerous activities and presentations in the fields of education, studies abroad, employment, international cooperation, culture, sport and leisure. read more >>

Countdown to Universiade Kazan - 26 October 2010 On Sunday, October 17, the Millenium Square, central square near the Kazan Kremlin in Russia, hosted a flash mob event organised by the 2013 Universiade volunteers. Over 300 young people used their bodies to create a living inscription KAZAN 2013 – 1000. read more >>

Convention on university sport in HUN - 27 October 2010 Hungarian University Sport Federation - HUSF organised a national convention in the beginning of October, with participation of all parties involved in university sports. A famous sports-historical location was chosen for the event, the Olympic Centre and training camp in Tata which have been contributing to the Hungarian sports successes for over 60 years. read more >>

AUS Academic opens new office - 27 October 2010 The Bulgarian Association for University Sport - AUS Academic opened the new office in Sofia on Friday, October 22, 2010. New offices of TUSF - 27 October 2010 Turkish University Sports Federation (TUSF) is moving to its new offices end of October. University Sports Gala in Portugal - 31 October 2010 Over 300 people attended the Casino da Figueira for a night of celebration and recognition in order to close the season 2009/2010 in Portugal. EUSA Working meetings in Switzerland - 31 October 2010 Mr Leonz Eder, EUSA Treasurer a.i., Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Secretary General and Ms Danijela Babic, EUSA Office Assistant met on a working meeting in Zurich October 28-30.
