European Universities Championships in full swing The 2010 season of the European Universities Championships (EUC) is in full swing, with only the EUC Rowing in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to go in August. In August the EUSA Billiards Cup 2010 will also take place in Tallinn, Estonia.

This year's EUSA calendar of university sports competitive events counts 11 European Universities Championships, one EUSA Cup and two other events under EUSA Patronage.

EUC Beach-Volleyball 2010 concluded - 12 July 2010 Five days of intensive emotions are over - the winners of the VII European Universities Beach Volleyball Championship were awarded, and the championship officially concluded on Saturday. The 2010 championship, which was held in Kazan, Russia between July 5 and 10 saw participation of 13 men's and 14 women's teams from 9 countries. read more >>

Student Sport Festival in POL - 14 July 2010 For 24 years at the beginning of the holidays The Student Sport Festival starts in Wilkasy, on the Mazurian Lakes in Poland. The main idea of this event is to spend a free time on fun, relax and sport among the young colleagues and members of AZS. This year about hundred students and graduates from whole country came to Wilkasy. read more >>

EUC Rugby 7's 2010 concluded - 18 July 2010 The IV European Universities Rugby Championship has concluded on the 17th of July with an exciting Closing ceremony at the Fontanar stadium in Cordoba, Spain. 8 male and 6 female teams participated in this year's edition of the championship. read more >>

EUC Futsal 2010 concluded - 26 July 2010 Zagreb, Croatia hosted the 7th European Universities futsal championship between July 18 and 25. 25 university teams from 23 countries, with over 400 participants took part in the championship. This year’s championship was special also because this it included the women’s tournament for the very first time. read more >>

EUC Football 2010 concluded - 26 July 2010 The 8th European Universities Football Championship has concluded on July 25th with an exciting Closing Ceremony in Bemowo Football Center, Warsaw. In men finals, the title of champions went to Halic University, Turkey who won a thrilling final match against Holly Cross University in Kielce, Poland... read more >>

EUC Tennis 2010 starts - 26 July 2010 The opening ceremony of the 7th European Universities Tennis Championship took place on Sunday, July 25 at the Pateo das Escolas of University of Coimbra. 34 delegations of 16 countries were presented with magnificent historical scenery of University of Coimbra. read more >>

EUC Basketball 2010 concluded - 27 July 2010 The 10th European Universities Basketball Championship has officially concluded on July 25 with the Closing Ceremony in Arena Hall in Poznan, Poland. EUSA working meeting in Slovenia - 27 July 2010 On July 26 and 27, EUSA Treasurer a.i. Leonz Eder and Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik met for a working session in the new EUSA Headquarters in Ljubljana. Among other topics they discussed the budget for 2010 and the estimated realisation. They also prepared some milestones for the 2011 budget. read more >>

EUSA Convention 2010 announced - 29 July 2010 This year's EUSA Convention for the organisers of European Universities Championships 2011 will take place in Bled, Slovenia between November 12 and 14, 2010. The convention is intended for the Organisers of the European Universities Championships and EUSA Technical delegates. We expect one or two representatives of each EUC 2011 Organising Committee to take part in the Convention. read more >>

EUSA representatives visit Moscow - 30 July 2010 On the Invitation of Mr Oleg Matytsin, President of the Russian Student Sport Union (RSSU), Mr Alberto Gualtieri, EUSA President and Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Secretary General paid a visit to Moscow. On the first day of their stay in the capital of Russia, the EUSA representatives visited together with Mr Matytsin the Headquarters of the Russian Olympic Committee. read more >>

Kazan actively preparing for Universiade - 31 July 2010 During their stay in Russia, the representatives of FISU and EUSA had an opportunity to meet members of the Summer Universiade 2013 Organising Committee which will be held in Kazan. The capital city of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan is proving day by day that the decision to attribute the World University Games to Kazan was the right choice. read more >>

International Sport Forum in Russia - 31 July 2010 At the International Sport Forum Russia-Country of Sports, held in Moscow, Russia between July 29 and August 1, 2010 among many sports, cultural and educational activities an important part on the event is also the university sport. As a part of the Forum, the roundtable on Problems and Perspectives of International Cooperation in the University Sport was held in the Olympic Centre Luzhniki. read more >>
