European Universities Championships 2010 commenced The 2010 season of the European Universities Championships (EUC) has kicked off with the start of the first championships in Handball (Nicosia, Cyprus), Badminton (Nancy, France), Table Tennis (Kazan, Russia) and eight others coming up in the period of two months.

In 2009, fifteen European Universities Championships were organised, with over 3.000 participants taking part in the championships.

Cooperation between FADU and COP - 2 June 2010 The Portuguese National Federation of University Sports (FADU) and the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) signed a cooperation protocol for the organization and participation of the Portuguese delegation at the Shenzhen Universiade in 2011 The protocol signing took place on May 28th at the headquarters of the COP. read more >>

EUC Badminton 2010 getting ready - 2 June 2010 A few years after hosting the 2006 French Universities Badminton Championship, the City of Nancy (France) is ready to host the 7th European Universities Badminton Championship from June 15th to 20th 2010. The ComitĂŠ RĂŠgional du Sport Universitaire (local university sport governing body) has been chosen by EUSA to organize the tournament. read more >>

BUCS Conference 2010 - 4 June 2010 Chris Holmes, Director of Paralympic Integration at London 2012 will open the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) annual conference this year at Keele University. BUCS Conference is the annual gathering for university staff and elected officers who manage sport and physical activity opportunities across 150 higher education institutions in the UK. read more >>

Turkish University Sports Games - 4 June 2010 7th Turkish University Sport Games were hosted by Pamukkale University in Denizli between May 15 and 19, 2010. This great event was organized in eight sports: volleyball, basketball, handball, futsal, track & field, gymnastics, water polo and swimming. From 70 different universities, 1900 athletes and 700 officials have participated in the games. read more >>

Friendship Games 2010 opened - 6 June 2010 The 5th Friendship Games 2010, were formally open on Saturday, June 5, in the evening in a special event that took place in the beautiful Village Beach in the southern city of Eilat where borders of Jordan, Egypt and Israel meet. Successful 38th Batavierenrace - 13 June 2010 On the 24th of April, the 38th edition of the Batavierenrace, the world’s largest relay race, took place in the Netherlands. More than 7,700 students ran in teams of 25 students from the city of Nijmegen to the city of Enschede during this weekend. The route stretches out over 175 km through Germany and a beautiful part of the Netherlands. read more >>

Friendship Games 2010 concluded - 13 June 2010 The 5th Friendship Games 2010, held under the patronage of EUSA, came to an end this last Thursday in the southern city of Eilat, Israel. In the Men's final on Thursday, Cyprus beat Israel's Eilat men team in the final 73:53. Liberty University of the USA, was the winner of the women's competition. read more >>

EUC Handball 2010 starts - 14 June 2010 More than 300 students coming from 18 universities and 11 countries attended the opening ceremony which begun today, Monday June 14 at 6 PM. Swiss University Sports Conference - 16 June 2010 The University Sport of Geneva, also host of the EUC Basketball 2007 and EUC Badminton 2009, organised the annual Swiss University Sports Conference from June 14-16. EUC Badminton 2010 starts - 16 June 2010 The mayor of Nancy (France), city which hosts 7th European Universities Badminton Championship declared the Championship open on Tuesday, June 15th. EUG Cordoba 2012 working visit - 19 June2010 Mr Alberto Gualtieri, EUSA President, Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General and Mr Adam Roczek, Sports Manager visited Cordoba - the host city of the 1st European Universities Games 2012. Polish-Ukrainian Sports Festival - 26 June 2010 Ukrainian volleyball players won golden and silver medals during the Polish-Ukrainian University Volleyball Festival concluded last week in Lviv, Ukraine.
