Building site death A 32-YEAR-OLD worker has been killed in Alicante during construction works on a supermarket expansion. It happened at 11am on Monday morning in the building on Calle Catedratico Soler, and according to reports the man’s death was caused by a falling block of concrete on the construction site. Despite the efforts of paramedics from SAMU, who performed CPR on the victim, the man was declared dead at the scene.
Missing Brit found safe FOLLOWING an extensive search across the area, Local Police officers based in Orihuela have found a British man who had been reported missing. According to reports, the man - understood to be suffering from Alzheimer’s - had gone missing for a number of hours and was eventually discovered in Hurchillo after walking across the farmland. He was very disorientated when located, but has since recovered.

AT ER this month, Margaret Brennan will be walking the 780 kilometre pilgrimage route to raise awaren ess an d fu n d s for Pets i n Sp ai n an i ma l rescue charity. The Camino de Santiago route for Margaret will start in France and end at Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, northwest Spain. Margaret’s adopted rescue dog Lindy will accompany her on this mammoth hike, and for most of the route following close behind will be the camper van driven by her husband Bob. It will take an estimated 31 days for Margaret to walk the entire route. Pets in Spain is a legally registered animal rescue and welfare charity in Spain operated entirely by volunteers.
