Fire risk JAVEA Council has given the green light to a prevention of forest fires plan. The document sets out measures to help save the large forest area and, more importantly, help protect residents and their properties. The fire prevention plan will be valid for 10 years and was developed as a direct result of the area’s Granadella fire, which forced the eviction of thousands of residents, destroyed houses and 812 hectares of land. Residents surrounding the forest area will receive fire prevention training and the forest areas will be cleared of dry vegetation.
