FREE! COSTA BLANCA NORTH
by Caroline Tyska BRITISH expatriates are being offered a new mobile padron service. In a bid to increase those who have not already registered on the Benidorm Town Hall’s padron the BBBA (Benidorm’s British Business Association) has been granted the rare opportunity to register British citizens at various locations. Karen Maling Cowles, President of the BBBA said: “Not only will this legalise peoples’ situations prior to Brexit and increase funding for the town, but it will also give them the opportunity to vote in local elections.” Funding for local services, such as schools, policing and doctors is granted dependent on the numbers registered. In collaboration with the town hall, the association visited Camping Villa Mar on Wednesday with the turnout being high. Those registering need to bring their passport plus two photocopies. Within a few days the padrons will be delivered back to the same location. Check the BBBA Facebook page for more information.
