TORREVIEJA has endured its coldest February since 2012 and its wettest since 1993. This is according to figures released by the Mastral Project weather stations that recorded an average temperature of 11.6ºC and rainfall of 45 litres per square metre. The majority of the rainfall was registered on the first two days of the month. Even though a number of days during the month were well above normal reaching 22ºC in the middle of February the exceptionally cold start contributed to making the period overall that much colder.
