by Tahnee Wright Experts from Alicante’s Guardia Civil gave a training day on jihadist terrorism to 100 local police officers this week.

The two experts have both participated in national and international operations against jihadist terrorism.

The training day was structuted into

two presentations: the first discussed the origin and evolution of Jihadist terrorism 'Alqaeda and Daesh' and the second discussed the current situation of its threat to Spain.

The Councillor for Security explained that the day has provided local police officers with specialised training "necessary" in relation to the current situation

on terrorism in Spain and Alicante.

However, he stressed: "There is no concrete threat to Alicante", but that it is important "to be alert, coordinated and to exert preventive vigilance" and therefore it is necessary "that the local police officers be as prepared as possible to deal with an attack or a terrorist.�

New HQ for EWN Media Group

LOS MONTESINOS Mayor Jose Manuel Butron has requested a health centre be built in the municipality.

The request was made

at a meeting chaired by Torrevieja’s Department of Health and the response to the same is not yet known.

Currently, Los Montesinos 4,000 residents have to go to the health centres in San Miguel de Salinas or San Luis.

Campaign steps up Officers help save against gender violence child’s life at Alicante airport

by Tahnee Wright ELCHE joined the Valencian Pact against Gender Violence this week.

As Mayor Carlos Gonzalez signed the pact in Valencia’s Centre del Carme, he said: “This step furthers the commitment of the municipality to fight against all forms of violence against women in all its aspects.”

He said that: “Since we started our campaign against gender violence, the Department of Equality’s budget has increased from €5,000 to €84,000.”

The budget has been allocated to the organisation of workshops, one-to-one sessions with victims of violence and counselling services at the Casa de la Dona on the Plaza de Barcelona.

Elche has also collaborated in drafting the clauses of the pact, which has so far been signed by a total of 63 institutions, political parties and social entities.

"These are 293 measures divided into five strategic lines, such as guaranteeing a free and secure society against gender violence, feminising society, working with victims of gender violence and educating children to ensure this type of violence is conceived as a political conflict" said Elche’s Council-

THE life-saving actions of two Guardia Civil officers at Alicante–Elche Airport have been praised after they attended an unconscious child lying on the floor.

Officers spotted a distressed, young couple in the departures area with their child lying on the floor.

The child had symptoms of stiffness, loss of

consciousness and difficulty breathing.

The officers took the child in their arms and rushed direct to the airport’s medical facility where the child was stabilised.

An ambulance then took the child to the General Hospital in Alicante where tests were performed to determine the cause of the convulsions.

TORREVIEJA Mayor Jose Manuel Dolon, has told the Local Police to increase their vigilance in respect of urban cleanliness in the city, particularly regarding dog mess.

The mayor also requested members of the public to politely but firmly encourage irresponsible dog owners to clear up after their dog. “However, if you don’t feel that you can approach someone,” he said, “report dog fouling to the local police – particularly if you know who is letting their dog foul regularly.”

In December 2015, the mayor promised to clamp down on anyone who didn’t clean up after their dog. Offenders face fines of up to €3,000.

Trade unions increase pressure after police car fire

MORE THAN 125 people have come together to file a collective complaint against a gym in Elche that closed without warning.

Users of the gym on the Poligono de Carrus say that it closed in early July and that its owners have failed to respond to refund requests – some users having paid up to €300 for a 24-month membership package.

Gym-goers were made aware of the closure that was supposedly for emergency renovation works but since then, the gym has not re-opened and there is no sign of its owners.

Improving access for schoolchildren Elche Town Council has advanced in its efforts to improve accessibility and strengthen security on some of the municipality’s busiest streets for schoolchildren.

by Rose Holmes Two police trade unions, the SPPLB and the SPPM have criticised the condition of Elche’s police car fleet after one caught fire earlier this week, nearly killing two police officers.

The fire occurred shortly after 9.00am on Tuesday morning as the officers concluded the school support service and headed to the hamlet of Atzavares.

They began to smell gas and smoke began to billow from the car.

Within seconds, the car was engulfed in flames and the officers were unable to extinguish the fire with their extinguisher, calling for assistance from firefighters.

The car was completely incinerated.

The SPPLB and the SPPM say this incident brings light to a serious problem – some of Elche’s police cars should have been replaced years ago, with a number of them exceeding 700,000 miles on the clock.

Councillor Jose Perez has hit back, confirming that there are 13 new police

cars on order to arrive at the end of this month, but the unions say that these vehicles were ordered last year and the time that it has taken for the process to be completed could have cost the two officers their lives.

The unions also say that the needs of Elche’s police go beyond its fleet of cars – officer’s uniforms having not been replaced for two years and one officer even reporting having had to stick his boots together with tape whilst he waited weeks for a new pair.

by Fabio Delucci La Union’s Local Police detained a 59-year-old man for threatening his 60-year-old brother with a gun in the middle of a packed street near a residential home.

Officers arrived at the scene after received a number of calls from con-

cerned passers-by.

They began combing the area in search of the offender and found him minutes later on the Plaza del Liceo.

Officers opened the man’s rucksack to find the gun – a 9mm pistol with the serial number erased – plus a large knife.

The gun was loaded with five bullets and one in the chamber and an-

other two bullets were found loose in the rucksack.

The offender was arrested and sent straight to prison, where he will be detained until trial accused of illicit possession of weapons.

If his brother files a complaint for threatening behaviour, the man could face further charges.

Father of girl hanging from seventh-floor window takes mother to court The father of the girl who was rescued by firefighters as she hung from the window of a seventh-floor apartment in Alicante appeared in court this week condemning the ill treatment and abandonment of the child by her mother.

The incident happened in March this year in an apartment off the Plaza de Luceros and the complaint has been brought against both the mother of the girl – now six-years-old –and her partner with whom she lives.

The complaint is based on a psychological report

issued by a psychiatrist in wake of the incident, which indicated that the child confirmed “this was not the first time she had been left alone” and that her mother’s partner had grabbed her by the neck and called her names on more than one occasion.

The psychological report was examined in court and the psychiatrist confirmed “total credibility to the facts indicated by the girl.”

The father has insisted that what he seeks is for justice to be brought against the mother and her partner “for the good and security of the child.”

The new commander is in charge of one

of the most important detachments in the country, with over 500 agents, 200 of which are assigned to Torrevieja and the remainder to municipalities across the region.

SPAIN'S Interior Ministry says police have arrested a Pakistani man suspected of promoting terrorism and spreading Islamic jihadi propaganda on social media networks.

A ministry statement reports that the 25-year-old resident of the northern Catalan city of Lleida was part of a cell partially dismantled with the arrest of three Pakistani brothers in Lleida last year.

The ministry said

the man detained on Tuesday had become more engrossed in radical activities in recent weeks.

16 people were killed in attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils last month. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks. Spain says its police have been involved in the arrests of 200 suspected jihadi activists since the country raised its security alert to one step below the maximum in June 2015.

ELCHE’S Local Police arrested a man for assaulting another with a pair of scissors.

The attacker fled the scene of the crime but officers soon caught up with him – he attempted to resist arrest and told officers he only regretted not killing the victim.

The victim was taken to a local health centre and treated for wounds across his arms and stomach – he refused to tell officers the reason for the altercation.

The court learned how the mother became aggravated at her son after she asked him to come with her to pick his brother up from school since she “did not trust him in the family home alone.”

Fire destroys a quarteracre of pine forest A FIRE destroyed one thousand square metres of pine forest in San Miguel de Salinas earlier this week.

The council says that the fire, which broke out in the protected areas of Sierra Escalona and the Dehesa de Campoamor, demonstrates the need for the summer fire services of Pilar

de la Horadada to be made permanent.

The fire was detected on Tuesday afternoon in an area of pine forest near the road linking San Miguel de Salinas with Pilar de la Horadada (CV-941).

It destroyed about twenty pines, according to the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters.

A long wait

Witnesses in the case included the boy’s uncles, who saw the boy “barefoot and sparsely dressed” after the assault.

Tiger mosquitos taking their toll NEIGHBOURS of Beniajan and Puente Tocinos have demanded that Murcia City Council proceeds to eliminate the plague of tiger mosquitos that have set up home in the areas.

The demands are supported by Councillor Margarita Guerrero who said they "have not been acted upon” and the “the city must proceed to eliminate this pest and review the areas where they are proliferating.”

Tiger mosquitos closely associate with humans (rather than living in wetlands) and typically fly and feed in the daytime as well as at dusk and dawn.

Tiger mosquitos can transmit many viral pathogens, including the yellow fever virus, dengue fever, and Chikungunya fever, as well as several filarial nematodes such as Dirofilaria immitis.

They are capable of hosting the Zika virus and considered a potential vector for Zika transmission among humans.

If you come across an infestation, report it to your local council immediately.

British dad severely injured on stag do in Spain

A PROLIFERATE PEST: If you come across a tiger mosquito infestation, report it to your local council immediately

can collect water or if you have to leave them outside, empty twice a week, put upside down. This includes: toys, ashtrays, vases, buckets, drums, dishes under pots, pet dishes, plastic swimming pools , etc.

• Avoid accumulation of water in drainage areas or drainage gutters.

• Avoid holes and depressions in the ground where water can accumulate

and cover the holes in the trunks of trees filling them with sand.

• Protect wells and cisterns with mosquito nets.

• Properly maintain the water in swimming pools by means of chlorination and if possible keep them covered while not in use. Try to ensure that the tarpaulins and plastics covers installed do not accumulate water.

A YOUNG British dad is fighting for his life after being found with horrific injuries while on his stag do in Magaluf.

26-year-old firefighter Alex Green, from Goldborne in Merseyside, travelled to Majorca with a group of 25 family members and friends last Friday.

Just hours later, he was discovered in the resort with severe injuries.

The rest of his group became concerned when Alex failed to return from the toilets of the bar that they were in.

They began frantically searching for him, before receiving a phone call from someone who had found him unconscious in the street.

It is unclear how Alex suffered his injuries.

The British Embassy is in contact with his family.

The dad-of-one was rushed to hospital where

he was found to have suffered a bleed on the brain, fractures to his eye sockets, cheeks and nose and a collapsed lung.

Alex was placed in an induced coma and has undergone surgery.

He remains in intensive care in Majorca, with his family and his fiancée who flew out to the island to be with him.

Alex needs around €60,000 to fly him home in a specialist air ambulance and medical care in the Spanish hospital can cost up to €6,000 each day.

Early indications are that his travel insurance will not pay out because he had alcohol in his system, making any claim potentially void.

Now Alex’s friends have set up a JustGiving page to cover the cost of his care - more than €30,000 has been donated so far.

Customers fly over local shopping centre Torrevieja’s Habaneras Shopping Centre has installed a zip line so thrillseeking customers can experience the centre “from above” this autumn.

The ride is shaped like a boat and allows customers to travel 60 metres from 5 metres up.

Suitable for all ages (except for children under 5) the zip line is expected to become one of the shopping centre’s top attractions.

The centre is also offering schools the chance to visit the attraction in groups and have a guided tour.

Students will get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the shopping centre, find out about the various roles and jobs required for everything to run like clockwork, help out in the urban kitchen garden, attend ecological and recycling workshops and of course, ride the zip line.

La Mata residents not happy La Mata Independe� ence Association (Plataforma Indepene diente Matera – PIM) has condemned the “terrible” condition of the Aromate ic Park on social media, claiming it “used to be one of the jewels of La Mata for tourists but it has been totally abandoned”.

The PIM state that the street lights “are totally loose and in danger of falling and causing and

accident at any moment” and the gardens “have not been cleaned, pruned or even watered.”

The association insisted that this district of Tore revieja “requires urgent investment in maintee nance” and concluded that “we cannot nor must not carry on like this, a lot of money is collected in taxes and spent on other less important things oute side the area”.

Road restrictions in Guardamar

WORKS began this week to renovate Avenida del Pais Valenciano in the centre of Guardamar del Segura.

The works will affect the area between Calle Ingeniero Mira and the Plaza Pescadores.

Traffic heading south towards the Plaza Constitucion will be diverted left onto Calle Ingeniero Mira.

The traffic heading north will be diverted left onto Calle Mediodia. Traffic coming down Calle San Eugenio will be restricted from turning left towards the Plaza Constitucion. The Town Hall has apologised for the inconvenience and informed residents that these diversions will be in place for three months.

BICYCLE FRIENDLY: Pilar de la Horadada is one of Spanish towns to join the network

by Rose Holmes Pilar de la Horadada has joined the national network of 500 bicycle friendly towns (Red de Ciudades por la Bicicleta - RCxB).

Over100 cyclists of all ages took part in a bike ride around the municipality last Sunday which was organised by the Town Hall.

The route took the cyclists from the

church square to the watchtower and back again. The route forms part of a growing network of cycle paths in the municipality that the town hall said it intends to extend even further.

The day, entitled ‘One bike more, one car less’ followed with a series of cyclingrelated events, including a road safety presentation from the Policia Local and maintenance workshops at local cycling stores.

The town has also joined the ‘Bicireg-

istro’ bicycle registration system, designed to make it easier to identify lost and stolen bikes.

To encourage people to register with Biciregistro, there will be a raffle on October 15 to win one of three €100 vouchers to spend at local cycling stores.

A SPANISH health authority has sparked outrage amongst antidrug campaigners after handing out advice leaflets to young people on the proper way to snort cocaine.

The campaign, which includes messages such as 'chop up your line nice and fine,' and 'If it is not well chopped, you can damage your nostrils,' has been condemned as irresponsible and making light of a serious subject.

The controversial project was launched in Bilbao and involved local health workers

handing out plastic advice cards in the shape of credit cards with slogans on them.

However, anti-drug campaigners have slammed the campaign calling it flippant and frivolous.

Health officials said the project was justified in order to 'minimise the risks of drug use' and that the card was only given out to 'selected' people, not the general public.

Recipients would already have sought help and gone through screening and interviews.

Language barrier British Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn froze journalist and television personality Piers Morgan out of a conversation he was having with Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin by speaking in Spanish.

Morgan took to Twitter to express his outrage at Corbyn. Hector Bellerin has since tweeted telling Morgan not to "take it personally".

Elche - the home of Spanish feminists Elche will become the meeting point for Spanish feminists this weekend as a national meeting is held in L’Escorxador to plan a strike which will take place next March.

The strike will coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8.

A similar event took place in March this year but did not have the desired effect so the congregation, brought together by the Elx pel Dret a Decidir are planning something bigger and better for next year.

Tekken is a fighting video game franchise created, developed, and published

by Namco. Beginning with the original Tekken in December 1994, the series has received several sequels as well as updates and spin-off titles.

As with many fighting games, players

choose a character from a line-up and engage in hand-to-hand combat with an opponent. Traditional fighting games are usually played with buttons which correspond to the strength of the attack, such as strong punch or weak kick.

Tekken, however, dedicates a button to each of the four limbs of the fighter.

The gameplay system includes blocks, throws, escapes, and ground fighting.

Tekken was one of the first fighting games at the time to use 3D animation

and the series has also been adapted into three films and other media.

The second game and its sequel were considered breakthrough titles and among the greatest games of all time, the latter also being the second bestselling fighting game to date. The series itself is the bestselling fighting game franchise in history.

There will be with videos, presentations and 'freeplay' stalls.

The main prize is €1,500 euros.

ALICANTE recently received a grant from the Generalitat to promote the use of the Valencian language.

In total, over €1 million was allocated to 228 municipalities.

Javea received €15,400 –€5,000 more than it received last year and the number of municipalities to benefit from the grants increased by 17 per cent.

THE GENERALITAT and the Alicante City Council are studying the possibility of building a public school on San Juan Beach.

The plans were announced earlier this week by Alicante’s Councillor of Education Maria Jose Espuch and are deemed necessary to respond to the “urban revival” in the area, specifically in PAU 5.

Espuch explained: "Now that the last stretch of Playa de San Juan is undergoing urbanisation, we must respond immediately to the future needs of families and build a public school that guarantees schooling for all.”

NUMBER ONE: Zenia Boulevard shopping mall

by Rose Holmes Orihuela Town Hall has fallen under scrutiny after it was revealed that users on TripAdvisor recommended the Zenia Boulevard shopping mall as the city’s main attraction.

Socialist Councillor Maria Garcia said: “I think the shopping mall does have a recreational function and boasts a very big range of shops but I find it hard to understand that, given the enormous historical wealth in our city, our monuments and our museums are the last thing on tourists’ to do lists.”

TripAdvisor users recommend the Zenia Boulevard shopping mall as the city’s main attraction, followed by the Orihuela Costa beaches. The house of poet Miguel Hernandez ranks 7th followed by Orihuela Cathedral in 8th and the Diocesan College Santo Domingo in 10th.

Garcia believes this proves the town hall is not promoting the city’s heritage to tourists, especially in comparison to other municipalities such as Torrevieja where the salt lakes rank first and Altea where the historic town centre ranks first.

“This summer, the museums have been practically empty. There has been no activity to encourage visits, which would not only improve the image of the city but also bring trade to local businesses.”

The Socialist insisted that communication of activities and events needs to be improved: “It is indispensable to have a bus service that connects Orihuela and its coast to bring in more tourists. What is the Councillor of Tourism doing?” she asked.

Murcia’s Department of Youth is offering 440 spaces to young people to improve their conversational English, French and German skills.

The courses will be offered for free through the department’s 16 different centres.

Registration is open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 30 registered resident in Murcia as a “complement to academic training” said Councillor Rebeca Perez.

Perez said that the project, first launched in 2010, aims to respond to the demands of young people as well as comply with European Union

guidelines on linguistic diversity.

She stressed the importance of learning other languages: "Both for reasons of personal and professional mobility and to help gain intercultural contacts and mutual understanding."

In total, 22 courses will be held, 16 of them for children between the ages of 12 and 17 and the rest for young people between the ages of 18 and 30.

Registrations can be submitted through the ‘Informajoven’ website or at any cultural/ youth centre.

The registration deadline is next Friday September 29.

Game of Thrones fans threaten Spanish heritage site

SPANISH tourism authorities have been left worried for the welfare of a heritage site called San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in the country's Basque region after 75,000 tourists have visited its staircase, which was used to film the Game of Thrones's Dragonstone scenes.

San Juan de Gaztelugatxe’s winding steps frequently provided a backdrop in the series but until this summer, the site drew attention only from a small number of religious visitors.

The Spanish press have now reported that during July, approximately 2,500 tourists descended on the site each day.

Local tradition dictates that visitors must ring a bell that hangs above the church

three times and make a wish, as a reward for climbing the steps. But the bell-ringing has become a problem and officials are worried about the damage that the site could suffer.

They are now discussing limiting the number of tourists allowed to visit the site and charging visitors to climb the steps.

It's not the first instance of Game of Thrones induced tourism threatening a historic area. In 2016, the ancient city of Dubrovnik, which provided the backdrop for Kings Landing in the show, saw record numbers of tourists.

Just this week, the mayor of Dubrovnik revealed he was planning to cap the number of visitors to stop crowding.

Occupation by deception

Britons have long cherished the belief that they are a free people. Unlike their neighbours the British never exby perienced occupation. Government is subordinate not to the people but to unseen influences. The political elite touch their toes to accommodate the occupiers. Pillage and plunder of the public purse by the replacement population proceeds.

Occupied peoples quickly discover that their status is relegated to that of second class citizen. Whilst equality is the oft-repeated mantra some are considered more equal than are others, the newcomers for example.

Life´s routine appears normal but there is a sinister influence that one finds suffocating. It is not exactly forbidden to say this or that or the other, but it is not done. Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness. One keeps strictly to the lines drawn in the sand.

It is now a punishable offence to express dissent or criticise the conquerors. The judiciary, police and security services become accomplices to the settlers. Press, Civil Service and police are subservient to the intruders. Courts are sympathetic towards those who now rule the roost.

Journalists become accomplices to treachery; media is institutionally hostile to the host community, which finds their opinions are effectively silenced. Members of the occu-

pied community are denied access to selected alien-occupied zones.

Civil servants and police are aware that their job security is dependent upon servile acquiescence to the whims of the newly arrived.

Employment, education and housing preference is given to the incomers. This is known as affirmative action or reverse racism.

Media and palace publishers rebuff poetry, art and literature considered to be of a dissenting nature. Job security is dependent upon compliance. Major crimes committed by the newly arrived are treated as minor misdemeanours. Minor misdemeanours committed by the host community are regarded as major crimes. A sentence is automatically doubled if the court considers there was an element of hostility towards an occupier. The interests of the incomers are sacrosanct and inviolable.

The host population finds their history demonised and culture mocked. The prevailing propaganda urges collaboration and defeat is said to be inevitable. Media focuses on the failings of the host community whilst drooling over the history and culture of the invaders. Censorship and suppression is endemic.

Members of the host community are under surveillance, considered suspects and considered potential criminals. This is what it is like to live in an occupied country. Rule, Britannia, rule the waves, Britons never will be slaves.

Perhaps Britannia no longer rules the waves washing along the English Channel.

A few days ago, ministers from the Gibraltarian government arrived in London, the reason to discuss several questions that need urgent replies? This included the most important one of all, Gibraltar after Brexit?

A week before their arrival Gibraltar celebrated something called National Gibraltar Day, the locals were joined as always by tourists, those who had crossed over from Spain, and those who had arrived by cruise ship for a day’s shopping.

The streets were bedecked with flags and bunting, kids with balloons smiling as they would do when enjoying the day, one balloon broke away from its young owner and floated gently in the light breeze over Trafalgar, not certain where it would end up. A bit like the question of Gibraltar as Brexit creeps on.

So, nothing is different there really, you could say every day is Gibraltar Day when the sun shines, except things could become rather awkward for Gibraltar and the Gibraltarians residents.

50 years ago, in 1967, the Rock voted by more than 90% to remain British it come as no surprise to all of us, however at the referendum in which Britain voted to leave the E.U. Gibraltar voted unequivocally to stay in the E.U. This is the conundrum that now faces Britain, Gibraltar and the European Union, so far to my knowledge the Gibraltar question has not come into play during the Brexit talks between David Davis Britain’s negotiator and Michel Barnier for the E.U, but when it does arrive it could hang over the talks like a storm cloud, or even upgrade to a hurricane?

What will happen? Will Britain write off Gibraltar as a lost cause, no they cannot afford to as Gibraltar has been Britain’s lynch pin in the Mediterranean for Centuries.

Will Gibraltar be forced into holding another referendum, almost certainly not likely after their last vote was so clear in staying. This is a dilemma for the government as it is almost an impossible task to resolve.

I spent around an hour trying to get some comments on the GIb/UK position, however I failed miserably, my call telephone call to Gibraltar Governments Press office failed to get a response, “If you look up our website, you may find something there that may help you” a spokesman said. In London the Gibraltar office suggested I called Gibraltar, maybe these are highly paid people to answer questions put to them by people like me, are they getting money for nothing? I think so.

During the National Day celebrations, the chief minister Mr Picardo, seems to reverse the early decision when he said that Brexit would pose an “existential threat” to Gibraltar owing to the border with Spain and asked Whitehall somehow to allow Gibraltar to stay in the E.U. “We will leave with the UK, Britain sticks with us and we stick with Britain, Gibraltar will prosper greatly”.

But what would Gibraltarians say after the referendum vote to remain in the E.U? A local business man told me, “The referendum was a joke, why go to all that trouble, and expense, I

am slightly relieved that Spain or the E.U. will not penalise us if we leave with Britain, that’s if they stand by their word”.

A young lady selling perfumes told me “I voted to remain, but on looking at what is happening in Europe, and the huge rise of immigration in Spain, and the way Britain looks as if it is going, then I would be happy to leave as well.”

A shop owner commented “we rely on the Brits that come shopping from the mainland and then cruise ships, they like to spend money, so whatever happens with remain or exit, as long as we can have shoppers”.

Mr Menez started his business 21 years ago as a small glass blowing work shop, he received funds from the E.U for his centre of town factory, he said that the biggest issue we are facing is a free flowing border for people visiting Gibraltar, and the goods we import, such as raw materials we buy is exclusively bought from the E.U. It has to travel through the European Union, to get to us, but if it faces a difficult Spanish

border then I will have a problem in the same way it affects us being able to export our goods to the world, so the uncertainly is very bad for me and others in the same position”.

Will it mean that many of the 96 per cent of the 32,000 residents on the Rock that voted to remain are changing their minds, it’s a possibility, as the signs of growth in Britain are looking more optimistic MPs were supposedly told by Mr Picardo at a private lunch that he had spoken to Gibraltar’s business bosses and told them “maybe we got it wrong, he was “hugely optimistic that we will be able to negotiate our way through this difficult moment, in a way that does not affect our prosperity”.

But after consulting the Rock’s nonplussed business bosses - who do 90 per cent of their trade with the UK mainland - MPs claim Fabian Picardo told them at a private lunch “maybe we got it wrong”.

So what will happen next for Gibraltar, now most of the threats are slowly evaporating, another referendum, no I don’t think so. I don’t think Picardo would gamble his position away, but if Gibraltar did leave without a final consultation with its 32,000 inhabitants what would the remainders say,.One remainder told me “ politics is like a bloody game of cards you place your bet on what you hope will be a king, and a joker turns up, they supposed to represent us, but as soon as the going gets tough the weak get going MPs are useless”.

We will have to wait and watch as the Brexit negotiations continue to creep on at a snail’s pace, there has been a lot of hand shaking and smiles between David Davis and Michel Barnier, however behind all that bon homme I still think that Barnier and the E.U. will try and pull a few fast ones on us.

As for the little girl watching her balloon slowly drifting aimlessly up into the air above Trafalgar not knowing where it is going, or where it will land, can the same be said for Gibraltar? Only time will tell.

Through a glass darkly by

History is a funny thing.

It is often proclaimed that history will be the final arbiter and have the ultimate say in the actions taken by individuals today. But there are famous figures from the past that still seem to be remembered for obscure and inaccurate reasons.

Take Alfred the Great. He was a great administrator, religious reformer and sponsor of literacy. He was also instrumental in starting a process that led to the unification of the many kingdoms into a single entity that later became England.

But how were we school kids taught to remember him? For burning a batch of scones in some peasant hut in the Somerset Levels. Hardly fair.

How about King Richard I, aka the Lion Heart, regaled by some as England’s greatest king because of his exploits during the bloody Third Crusade.

Don’t believe it, because throughout his ten year reign he spent just six months in England and probably didn’t even speak the language.

Moreover after failing to secure Jerusalem, he fell out with his European pals (sound’s familiar) and got himself captured and ransomed off for 150,000 marks. A staggering £2.3 billion in today’s money, taking into account inflation.

Here’s a good one: Wat Tyler, the leader of The Peasants Revolt and no doubt Diane Abbott’s pin up boy. No guesses what Wat did for a living by the way.

Trains were thin on the ground in 1381, so Wat marched his peasant army from Canterbury to London to demand better working conditions, a limit on overtime and a new productivity deal.

Having slaughtered a few conservatives on the way and scaring the living daylights out of the boy king Richard II when London itself was threatened, all of Wat’s demands were met.

But then he get’s cocky, swears at the King and spits water over his feet, at which point London’s Lord Mayor – a sort of Sadiq Khan with tights – draws his dagger and ends Wat’s tiling days forever.

The result? All bets were called off, and amid much muttering and flatulence, the peasants about turned and went back

to serfing, empty handed.

History is littered with other examples. Take Jethro Tull: recognised as a great hero of the Agricultural Revolution with his famous seed drill. But what about his prowess at playing the flute whilst standing on one leg? Hardly ever mentioned.

It makes me wonder how history will judge Anthony Blair Esq., but I am not optimistic.

Comparisons

Basic Spanish for everyday needs by

Well, we’re still on the subject of adjectives as there are a lot of things to say about them apart from how they agree with nouns as we have already seen.

Another thing we use adjectives for is to make comparisons. For example, in English we say “big” “bigger” “the biggest”; “nice, nicer, the nicest”; “beautiful, more beautiful, the most beautiful”.

We call these forms “comparative” and “superlative”.

The comparative compares two things - “My dad is bigger than your dad” whereas the superlative compares one thing in relation to all the rest “His dad is the biggest”.

This is very easy in Spanish as we simply place the word más in front of the adjective to form the comparative (comparing two) and el más (masc) or la más (feminine) to form the superlative (one in comparison to all the rest).

Mi papá es más grande que tu papá.

(Notice we use que to translate “than”).

Su papá es el más grande.

“His dad is the biggest”.

Now here is one more thing to learn about adjectives. Spanish has a very interesting way of using them to replace nouns. For example, we can say: el hombre viejo the old man - and this is perfectly correct - but usually it gets reduced to simply el viejo. (We could translate this as “the old man” or simply: “the old one”). This works in the same way in the feminine. La chica guapa – the pretty girl, or simply la guapa (the pretty one). All adjectives work in this way – el gordo (the fat one - masc), la tonta (the silly one – fem), el gracioso (the funny one – masc), la fea (the ugly one – fem). Of course in Spanish we can identify whether the person is masculine or feminine, whereas this meaning

is lost in English. We can also use this to refer to things, of course. ¿Cuál de las cajas quieres? La grande. (Which box do you want? – the big one).

And finally, also related to adjectives, we can now learn the fifth way of saying “the”. If you remember we have learnt so far that there are masculine, feminine, singular and plural forms – el, la, los and las. The missing form is “lo”. Now lo has several meanings in Spanish, but at the moment we are only looking at when it means “the”. This is how it works, using three examples.

Lo interesante - “the interesting thing” Lo difícil - “the difficult thing” Lo curioso - “the curious thing” What can we say about these expressions? Well, interesante, difícil and

curioso are all adjectives. However, they are not describing anything in particular. We are not saying “the interesting book”, “the difficult job”, “the curious idea”. These adjectives are really describing ideas or situations not words that are defined as masculine or feminine. In this case, the word for “the” cannot be el or la but is a neutral “the” – lo.

I’ll finish with a sentence for you to translate into English which hopefully illustrates some of what we’ve learnt.

Los dos hijos, el guapo y el feo, van a visitar a su familia este verano. Lo triste es que el guapo es más popular que el feo, aunque el feo es mucho más simpático, y es el más generoso de toda la familia. Lo más curioso de todo es que el guapo tiene muchos más amigos que el feo, pero el feo es el más feliz.

Jack Levy was sitting outside Malaga cathedral with his wife when his phone rang.

It was Mr Rabinovich. “Where are ya, ya big mutt?” Levy cried.

“Torre del Mar,” came the voice of his trusted bodyguard, reading a sign. Outside the call-box the beach was busy, children eating ice-cream under the blue-striped lighthouse as a plane trailing an advert droned downcoast.

“Tell me you´ve got the ring?”

“No, Mr Levy. I make a strong landing. I lose mind in landing for a few minutes.”

“You get that little…?” Levy cursed despite himself. He looked up at the bell-tower and rolled his eyes; waved at his worried wife and blew her a kiss. It´s fine, it´s fine.

“No, Mr Levy. They get away. But you don´t worry. I know this place. I work here many times. I find ring. I find ring, bring bad person back.”

“No! You find ring and you kill ´em. You hear me? You find my ring and you…”

As Mr Rabinovich held the receiver away from his ear, Costa del Sol steered his noisy moped around the roundabout behind the call-box, drawing to a halt at a kiosk whose plump owner was sitting outside on a deckchair.

“Looking for Michelangelo,” Costa tried, putting on his best Andalusian accent. It was the fifth time he´d asked the question in an hour.

“Si, si. Straight down there, past the fairground. It´s the last block on the right,” came the answer. Costa felt a surge of power light him up like Christmas.

“Jo´! ¿Que calor hace, eh?” said the big man, mopping his brow. My God, it´s hot, eh?

“Oh, yes,” Costa replied, snapping down his visor. “Hot indeed.”

Costa didn´t notice Mr Rabinovich staring at him as he drove off.

The queen - the one who lays all the eggs - never leaves her nest.

She just stays there, being fed by the workers (the ones you see) and continuing to reproduce more ants. So, you can spray and spray the ants you see and she'll just keep making more to take their place.

2. Watch the trailing ants.

The first step in controlling ants is simply watching the ones that enter your home to see where they are coming from and going to. An ant will seek food, but once it finds food, the ant will return to its nest with the crumb, leaving a scent trail behind it. By doing so, the ant leaves a trail for its fellow worker ants to help in gathering the food.

3. Don't spray the ants!

As discussed in point 1, the ants that you see are worker ants. Their job is to find food and take it back to feed the queen and her young, who are being groomed as the next generation of worker ants.

Because of this, these worker ants are your ticket into the colony. If you spray and kill these

ants, the colony will simply send out more workers and you'll never reach the queen. So, what do you do? See point 4: 4. Set out ant bait.

Instead of eliminating the worker ants, use them! Following all label directions, place ant bait stations along the trail you identified in point 2.

The workers will find the bait, carry it back to the nest and feed the queen, eventually killing her and eliminating future populations.

5. Hold off on cleaning Although it is good to eliminate other food sources, you don't want to mop away the ant's odour trail yet. The trail will now lead the workers to your bait instead.

6. Be patient.

The ants will carry the insecticide bait back to the nest, but it can take several days to eliminate the colony, or even a few weeks if the colony is very large or it has several queens. (Some ant species do.) You may even need

BE GONE: Putting an end to that aggravation is worth the effort! to replace the bait station if they empty the food or liquid bait.

7. Know when to spray.

If the trailing ants have led you to an outdoor, below-ground nest -- now can be the time to spray. Drenching the nest with an approved insecticide spray (following all label directions) can be effective.

8. Keep it clean.

Sanitation is critical for the prevention and control of any pest.

Like all living creatures, ants need water, food and shelter for survival.

Ants will leave the shelter of their colony to seek food and water.

Don't make it easy for them! Keep foods sealed, floors swept and all surfaces cleaned.

9. Keep ants out.

Ants are tiny creatures and can enter homes and buildings through minute cracks and crevices. To minimise this, seal around windows and doors and all cable, pipe and wire entry points.

Filthy fridge hell Appliance repair company GoAssist.co.uk recently conducted a national fridge cleanliness study, involving 2,000 UK adults, and the findings were pretty grim.

According to the research, the average British fridge hasn’t been properly cleaned for 87 days. That’s more than three times longer than the recommended length of time between cleans. Shockingly, almost one in ten Britons can’t even remember the last time they cleaned their fridge.

Brighton is the UK’s dirty fridge capital. 17 per cent of the city’s residents can’t remember the last time they cleaned their fridge and among those who do remember, the average time since the last clean is 138 days.

Glasgow has the dirtiest fridges, with more residents than anywhere else in the UK leaving their fridge without a clean for more than a year.

The research also looked at workplace fridges as part of the study and if you’re thinking of taking yesterday’s Spaghetti Bolognese into work today, you might want to think again.

Four in ten (38 per cent) respondents who regularly kept their lunch in an office fridge said they had no idea when the fridge was last cleaned out.

Equally, if not more alarming than fridge cleanliness, was the lack of understanding around how the appliances actually work. Just over 10 percent of study participants wrongly believe that - because they’re temperature controlled - fridges require no cleaning at all.

James Holden, spokesperson for GoAssist.co.uk, believes misconceptions about how fridges actually work are behind the problem.

“According to our research, a worrying amount of people wrongly believe they don’t need to regularly clean their fridge. But even in a cool environment, food can go off and bacteria can rapidly contaminate other items. It’s really important for hygiene and maintenance reasons to regularly clean your fridge.

“We recommend doing a deep clean of your fridge every four weeks. To make life a little bit easier, schedule your next clean the day before you do your food shopping. This way, there will be fewer items to remove from the fridge before cleaning.”

Benidorm star Sherrie Hewson has revealed she was kicked out of a karaoke bar for her terrible singing during an alcohol-induced night in the city.

The 67-year-old actress, best known for roles in Coronation Street (1993–1997, 2006), Crossroads (2001–2003), and Emmerdale (2004–2006) was partying with co-stars after filming the new series when she took to the stage to sing Carl Douglas’s 1974 No1 Kung Fu Fighting.

Sherrie told the English press: “Karaoke’s a big thing there but you have to be a good singer.

“All the singers in all the bars come at the same time and they all compete.

“I was singing Kung Fu Fighting after about 15 gin and tonics, but they told me to ‘please leave’ and that I was embarrassing everybody and I was, but I didn’t care by that time. I was kicked out of a bar for being a bad singer.”

Sherrie – who plays hotel boss Joyce Temple-Savage – admitted she’s the last one standing when the cast go out and said her, Jake Canuso (who plays barman Mateo Castellanos) and Tony Maudsley (hairdresser Kenneth Du Beke) are “very dangerous together.”

The tenth series of the hit ITV sitcom airs next year.

Ice bucket challenge raises €1,000 for Finca San Miguel de Salinas

Finca San Miguel de Salinas hosted their infamous summer party recently, enjoyed by friends old and new.

The first show was given by Mona and Sol, who - as promised - donned their bikinis before their biggest sponsors Angela and Aad poured buckets of ice over them – it was clearly COLD but the ladies raised €1,000 which will cover the finca’s cost for nearly a month.

Mona and Sol express their greatest thanks to all their sponsors here in Spain, England, Germany, Holland and Italy.

Escuela Soul Dance Studio then took to the floor, wowing guests with a modern routine and a flamenco routine.

A grand charity raffle was held, with thanks to prizes from Angela, Jacqueline, Judy and Penny.

Thanks were given to Christine and Renee who made and sold some jewellery in England, raising an incredible €200 for the finca and Bernd who offered a trike tour around La Pedrera for anyone who sponsored the ice bucket ladies €50 or more.

The finca’s next ever-popular open day will take place on Saturday September 30 between 5.30pm and 9.30pm and everyone is invited along, promising fun for the whole family. Feel free to bring apples, carrots and tomatoes to feed the farm animals or cat food/ dog food for the cats and dogs.

Finca San Miguel de Salinas is supported by ‘Happy Animales Spain’, founded by Mona Nowak. Happy Animales Spain is a registered charity committed to the welfare of impoverished and abandoned animals.

At the finca, neglected animals are taken, provided with any veterinary care they might need along with a lot of cuddles and very often adopted.

The work of Finca San Miguel de Salinas and Happy Animales Spain is not limited to the day-to-day running of the finca. They regularly inspect animal cruelty in the area, discuss solutions with animal owners and carry out follow-up checks. If there is no other option, they will work to confiscate the

animals and take them in at the finca.

STRONG CONNECTION: Parkinson’s disease in close up People with Parkinson's disease are about four times more likely to develop melanoma skin cancer, and conversely, people with melanoma have a fourfold higher risk of getting Parkinson's, researchers report.

Although doctors have known about the connection between these diseases, they still don't know why having one increases the risk of the other.

"Future research should focus on identifying common genes, immune responses and environmental exposures that may link these two diseases," said study first author Dr. Lauren Dalvin, who's with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

"If we can pinpoint the cause of the

association between Parkinson's disease and melanoma, we will be better able to counsel patients and families about their risk of developing one disease in the setting of the other," she said.

Parkinson's disease is a progressive brain disorder. Symptoms of the disease include tremors, stiffness and difficulty walking.

Melanoma is a form of skin cancer.

Snappy pork kebabs

What could be easier! Barbecue sauce and Italian salad dressing combined with a few extra ingredients makes a snappy and delightful marinade.

INGREDIENTS 1 1/2 lb boneless pork top loin, cubed 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce 1/4 cup Italian salad dressing 1/2 green pepper, cut into chunks 1/2 red pepper, cut into chunks 1 14 oz can pineapple chunks in juice, drained 1 tsp lemon juice 3 tbsp honey 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

DIRECTIONS 1. In a large plastic Ziploc bag, combine barbecue sauce, salad dressing, honey, lemon juice, and hot pepper sauce. Mix well. Add pork cubes and marinate at room temperature 1 hour or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.

2. Reserving marinade, alternately skewer pork with peppers and pineapple chunks. Grill over MEDIUM - LOW heat 4 - 6 minutes per side, turning once.

During last 3 minutes of grilling, brush reserved marinade over kebabs.

Chicken & ham lasagne This comforting dish of layered pasta sheets, meat and spinach is topped with gooey, melted cheese - freeze now for entertaining later Ingredients 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (around 700g) ½ medium onion, sliced 2 bay leaves 200ml white wine 100g butter 100g plain flour 500ml semi-skimmed milk 140g sliced smoked ham, cut into strips 200g young spinach leaves 225g no pre-cook dried lasagne sheets (about 20 sheets) 200g ready-grated mozzarella 25g Parmesan, finely grated Method 1. Put the chicken breasts in a medium saucepan with the onion, bay leaves and wine. Pour over just enough water to cover, around 200ml. Put a lid on top and bring to a gentle simmer for 15 mins Transfer the chicken to a board and strain the liquid into a jug.

2. Melt the butter in a large non-stick saucepan over a medium heat. Stir in the flour with a wooden spoon and cook for about a minute. Gradually add the milk, a little at a time, stirring well between each addition to ensure the sauce stays smooth.

Once all the milk has been added, stir in the reserved cooking liquid and continue cooking for a further 2-3 mins. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.

3. Cut the chicken into small chunks and add the ham and spinach. Spoon a third of the chicken mixture into the base of a 3-litre lasagne dish (about 26 x 18cm). Top with a third of the lasagne sheets.

Repeat the layers twice more, ending with lasagne.

Scatter the mozzarella and Parmesan on top and season with black pepper.

Bake for about 25 mins or until the lasagne is tender, the topping is well browned and the filling hot.

One of the best things about salmon, other than its numerous health benefits, is that it cooks so quickly.

If using a fish basket, you may turn the fish once, halfway through cooking time INGREDIENTS 2 8 oz salmon fillets 3 tbsp dry sherry 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp sesame oil 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely minced 2 tbsp butter 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper lemon slices

EVERYDAY VEGETABLE SOUP This basic vegetable soup can be made with any combination of fresh or frozen vegetables, so the soup will taste a little different each time. The recipe can easily be doubled or even tripled to feed all the vegetable soup fans at your table.

INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cups chopped onions or thinly sliced leeks (whites only) 1 cup thinly sliced celery 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning Coarse salt and ground pepper 3 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) reducedsodium vegetable or chicken broth 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, with juice 1 tablespoon tomato paste 8 cups mixed fresh or frozen

DIRECTIONS 1. In a shallow glass dish, combine the sherry, soy vegetables, such as carrots, corn, green beans, lima beans, peas, potatoes, and courgettes (cut larger vegetables into smaller pieces) DIRECTIONS 1. sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. Place the fish in the marinade for 30 minutes.

2.Preheat the grill, and brush the grids with vegetable oil. Dot the salmon with butter, and grill on MEDIUM - HIGH for 10 minutes. The skin should easily separate from the fish when it is cooked.

Place the salmon on a platter, garnish with fresh lemon slices and serve.

5 to 8 minutes.

2. Add broth, tomatoes and their juice, tomato paste, and 3 cups water to pot; bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, and cook, uncovered, 20 minutes.

3. Add vegetables to pot, and return to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, until vegetables are tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, as desired. Let cool before storing.

Porsche unveils the 911 GT3

The 911 GT3 with Touring Package will be unveiled at the 67th International Motor Show (IAA), which is taking place until September 24, in Frankfurt. Instead of the fixed rear wing, when equipped with the optional Touring Package, the GT3 will have an adaptive rear spoiler similar to that of the 911 Carrera models. Beneath its understated exterior is pure motorsport-derived technology: The four-litre naturally aspirated flatsix engine develops 500 horsepower and generates 339 lb.-ft. of torque. The 911 GT3 with Touring Package sprints from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top track speed of 196 miles per hour.

The Touring Package will be available exclusively in combination with the sixspeed manual transmission.

The name “Touring Package” harkens back to a variant of the 911 Carrera RS from 1973. The very pure 911 design and classic interior features were key elements of this model. NEW PLATES: High demand continues

The UK new car market reported its fifth consecutive month of decline in August, according to figures published by Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Registrations fell by 6.4 per cent, after a record August in 2016.

However, with more than 76,000 new cars registered, the performance still represents the third biggest August in 10 years. Year to date, the market remained broadly in line with expectations, down 2.4 per cent, with 1,640,241 new cars joining British roads in the first eight months.

Superminis and small family cars remained the most popular types in August, accounting for more than half (58.3 per cent) of registrations. However, SUVs, larger family cars and executives were the only segments to grow, up 7.9 per cent, 2.2 per cent and 1.1 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, more people chose to get behind the wheel of an alternatively fuelled vehicle (AFV) than ever before in the month, accounting for a 5.2 per cent share of the market.

Demand for petrol hybrid and pure electric battery powered cars increased substantially, up 74.9 per cent and 62.5 per cent, while plugin hybrid registrations rose 38.5 per cent. Conventional petrol cars grew 3.8 per cent and diesels fell by 21.3 per cent.

Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive, said: â&#x20AC;&#x153;August is typically a quiet month for the new car market as consumers and businesses delay purchases until the arrival of the new number plate in September. With the new 67-plate now available and a range of new models in showrooms, we anticipate the continuation of what are historically high levels of demand.â&#x20AC;?

Will traditional motor shows vanish?

Motor shows across the world are struggling to re-invent themselves.

With many major brands choosing to sit them out in favour of creating their own experiences for new car launches or attending alternative shows.

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 is currently underway, but noticeable only by their absence are Alfa Romeo, DS, Fiat, Infiniti, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot and Volvo. This biannual event alternates with the Paris Motor Show, which in 2016 also saw well known automakers decline to exhibit with Mazda, Ford and Volvo deciding to focus on other ways of engaging with their customers. The Mini spokeswoman at the time stated “Part of the new brand strategy is focusing on selected auto shows and an increased engagement with events that increase Mini’s access to other relevant target groups.” Ford decided to instead focus on the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Volvo have stated they want to put greater focus on direct-to-consumer marketing.

More traditional alternatives to the standard motor shows include the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a major international event that has only been running since 1993. It´s focus on the history and the pinnacle of motorsports along with the physical location at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex gives the automakers a unique

backdrop to promote their brands.

“The manufacturers are very keen to find different ways of showing their products and we’ve been part of that change” said the owner and organiser of the Goodwood Estate.

This wish to provide more unique and focused events is backed up by the numbers. It´s been reported that Renault spent only $1.3 million attending Goodwood last year.

Which although a sizable chunk of any marketing budget is estimated to be a third of what they would have spent attending one of the more traditional motor shows. These figures will be broadly reflected across the industry, so it not difficult to see why there is this move away from the traditional motor shows.

May the Invictus Games begin THE THIRD annual Invictus Games officially kick off in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday.

The Invictus Games, created by Prince Harry, is an event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, shining a light on their sacrifices but also offering a challenge and pursuit that those who once wore a military

uniform can often sorely miss.

After serving in Afghanistan, Harry was introduced to the Warrior Games during a trip to the U.S. in 2013. He made it his mission to create an event similar and as a result, the Prince launched the seven-day sporting event in September 2014.

The title comes from the Latin word

“invictus,” meaning unconquered or undefeated and the competition features more than 550 competitors from 17 nations and a dozen sports, including archery, cycling, golf, indoor rowing, and wheelchair basketball.

Harry has already announced that the fourth Invictus Games will take place in Sydney, Australia, in October 2018.

McLaren set to split with Honda

MCLAREN are set to split with engine partner Honda by the end of the season after three years into their partnership.

This split comes after a string of below par seasons ever since they started the partnership.

McLaren will now switch to using Renault engines, after signing a three-year deal.

Lewis Hamilton said: “I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner to be honest.”

“It’s been a long, hard slog for the both of them so hopefully this will spark

a new start for McLaren, because they should be in the fight with us.

“Who knows, maybe Honda will come back in years to come?”

Honda will remain in the sport via a customer supply to Toro Rosso, with suggestions of a future Red Bull deal also circulating.

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) insists it is trying to resolve Tyson Fury’s hearing “as soon as possible” following criticism from the British boxer on social media.

Both former heavyweight world champion Fury and his cousin, Hughie Fury, were charged on 24 June last year with the “presence of a prohibited substance” following drugs tests.

29-year-old Fury appealed on social media for a decision on his future to be made soon.

UKAD has issued a statement, suggesting that “various reasons” have caused the delay and the organisation are currently pursuing a new date.

It read: “In response to public comments made by Mr Tyson Fury, UK Anti-Doping wishes to clarify the status of the charges it issued against him and Mr Hughie Fury on 24 June 2016 (which charges were previously confirmed by UKAD in a statement).
