Now doctors at the Hospital de Orihuela have begun to prescribe antibiotic treatments “advised” by their mobile phone. It’s a mobile application that, depending on the symptoms, will tell you which is the best antibiotic treatment most appropriate . “The application chooses the antibiotics with more probability of success in the region and with less impact on the resistance on the environment”, assures the Cabinet of Communication. This has been possible thanks to a team of the Program for Optimization of the use of Antimicrobials, which has been in charge of producing the Guide to Empirical Antibiotics in the APP.
