This Tuesday saw a meeting held between the Consolleria of the area, MªJosé Salvador and Denia Mayor, Vicent Grimalt whereby plans were presented for the work to be carried out on the tramline that passes through Denia. The Department of Infrastructures and Vertebration of the Territory has already outlined the work to be carried out on the Denia – Benidorm (Line 9) line of the ‘TRAM’ in its passage through Denia after the service was suspended last July for security reasons. Works will begin this year and will especially affect Avenida Joan Fuster, from the train station to Calle Diana. With an investment of 2million€, the work focuses on improving the road in Denia to allow the tracks to be fully integrated with the streets – allowing pedestrian crossings and removing level crossings. To remove the need for FGV to control traffic in the area, roundabouts and traffic lights will be installed along the section of road that crosses Denia city. Continued on page 3
