Works are well and truly underway throughout Calpe this week. The building of the Cultural and Lesiure park in the Gargasindi game has been initiated and the adaptation and improvement of the parks of Enginent and Garrofers continues. The Cultural and Lesiure park project covers a 12,000 square meter plot in front of the Silene de Ifac Children’s School and was formed following plans drafted by the municipal architect. The park facilities will be available for use by all local associations and the objective is to reduce event and celebration costs. Other facilities will include play areas and toilets, along with tents for the celebrations, for example, of the Beer Festival, the Day of the Quintas or the House of Andalusia. The initiative has received a grant from the Provincial Council of €240,000 and is sure to provide an excellent event environment for all. Continued on page 4
