A COURT trial that began in Murcia and has lasted more than three years involving the man claimed to be Spain’s most prolific banknote forger has finally come to an end. Juan Pedro González Sánchez, from Beniaján, had been arrested on three separate occasions, each time in the possession of notes worth millions of euros ready to distribute into public circulation. However, hopes of a sentence of what could have been up to 15 years in jail have been thwarted as the master forger has now been sentenced
