Julen tweets could lead to prison TWEETS posted earlier this year during the Julen rescue by a man named Camilo de Ory could lead to him being imprisoned for 18 months, according to a submission by the Public Prosecutor's Office. Ory posted the messages to his Twitter feed apparently making jokes during the dramatic rescue. The Prosecutor’s Office classes these tweets as ‘offensive,’ ‘humiliating’ and ‘clearly derogatory towards the dramatic situation the child and his parents were experiencing,’ according to a statement by a representative of the prosecutor. The 49-year-old from Segovia posted multiple messages during the rescue mission including: “If it is annoying to endure the works of the neighbour, imagine how overwhelmed Julen has to be with the drilling,” and “If Julen ate at Burger King this would not have happened.” The final tweet came as the boy’s body was finally extracted from the well, “Today a minute of silence will be kept by Julen on all golf courses.” Prosecutors are calling for an 18-month prison sentence to be served, as well as a complete ban of all social media networks.
