Package blown up BOMB experts with the National Police have carried out the controlled detonation of a package which they said contained explosives in a Marbella urbanisation. Officers with the police’s TEDAX unit were called out to the Alto de
los Monteros urbanisation after receiving reports of the package on Tuesday. The package was found on Calle Lavanda. Police carried out tests of the package and they confirmed it contained explosive material. It was
then detonated about 21 hours after the discovery was made. An ambulance was on hand during the detonation but police said no injuries were caused. The reasons for the package being left there remain unknown.
