Left for dead

A BRITISH expatriate rescue centre worker has spoken to Euro Weekly News about a dog who arrived at the facility close to death. Mary-Ann Dunning, 66, said Duque was brought to Paradise Rescue Kennels by a man claiming he could not keep him.

SPAIN’S government has requested the right to station police officers in Gibraltar International Airport as part of ongoing negotiations on Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union. Gibraltar authorities said airport control,

technically shared between Britain, the territory and Spain, was one of their red lines in talks. Ashley Fox, the British enclave’s MEP, said Spain’s demand amounted to a “concession” on sovereignty.
