Terror swoop ‘Daesh recruiter’ quizzed by police A Moroccan man has been held in Murcia on suspicion of recruiting for Daesh. According to reports, the 31year-old has been active on the internet since 2014 and would regularly upload content supporting Daesh, including videos showing symbols of the organisation and also films including chants. The suspect also posted images on social media showing the execution of US soldiers carried out by a Daesh sniper. Police believe that the man had become increasingly radicalised over the past three years and had come to the point of being close to participating in a violent terrorist act. He is believed to have used up to three different social media profiles to carry out his work and also posted videos directly produced by Daesh,

ganisation in Morocco and Spain. Since the Home Office raised Spain’s Antiterrorist Alert (NAA) to level four (out of five) in June 2015, Security Forces and Agencies have arrested 224 individuals with links to Daesh.

Expat fraud FIVE people have been arrested in Los Alcazares on suspicion of fraudulently registering foreign nationals. The Murcia division of the Guardia Civil first began investigating a potential issue in November when they were made aware of irregularities in the t o w n ’s m o s t r e c e n t census. Known as ‘Malace,’ an operation was set up to investigate whether there could be any fraudulent dealings aimed at obtaining economic benefits in exchange for falsely registering foreign citizens had occurred. The Guardia Civil quickly became aware that a considerable number of foreign citizens had obtained the housing certificates for properties that they were not living in.
