Airports threaten security strikes Airport security strikes could soon occur. The Prosegur staff at the Va l e n c i a a i r p o r t h a v e threatened to go on strike due to low salaries and cuts. Alicante could also see strikes if agreements cannot be made during the upcoming meetings between the Ministry of Public Works and trade unions. Fierce competition is believed to be the issue as security firms battle it out to offer the lowest prices and secure big money protection and cleaning contracts.
