Shooting drama Police blast knife-wielding Brit in buttocks By Matthew Elliott A British man was shot in the buttocks by Albox police after allegedly trying to stab his ex-wife as she fled her Almeria home. The 43-year-old, with a history of violent spousal abuse, is in intensive care at La Immaculada hospital in Huercal-Overa after ignoring several police warning shots into the air. His expartner, also British, fortunately escaped unharmed. He h a s b e e n n a m e d in Spanish media only as AWCB. One British newspaper has identified him as Anthony Wayne, though other details are unknown. Local Police officers were called to the scene at around 1.25am on Saturday March 18. Police reports suggested that the suspect was lying in wait at his ex’s Albox property on Calle Cuerda. It is unclear wh e t h e r sh e , o r someone else, contacted police w h e n t h e si t u a tio n turned violent. When police arrived the woman had fled the home and was in her car as the man raced after her with a

POPULAR PARTY councillors in Albox claim to have found damning evidence the former PSOE-run town hall fleeced the town out of more than €300,000. The alleged evidence is an invoice billing the council for construction of a water treatment plant never built. The plant was supposed to have been built in Llano de los Olleres back in 2008.
