Plans for British bobbies to join their Spanish counte rp arts o n th e B en id orm beat this summer have been quietly dropped. The exchange operation will not go ahead owing to Britain’s “current instability,” according to sources a t th e n atio n a l g o v ernment’s delegation to the Valencian Community.
