RIP Daddy TRIBUTES for slain Brit in Villamartin Plaza
By Gemma Quinn A flood of tributes have poured in for British Dad Scott Waring, who was killed in a Villamartin bar, as family and friends grieved his tragic passing. The 40-year-old, who had a young daughter, was reportedly attacked with a broken bottle during a brawl at the bar in Villamartin Plaza. He was pronounced dead at the scene with the news send-
ing shockwaves across the British community in Spain and the UK. Tributes have adorned the site of the tragedy with the words ‘Our beautiful boy. Miss you dearly. RIP Daddy’ An unnamed 29-year-old Brit, said to be on holiday, has been remanded in custody by an Orihuela judge on suspicion of murder. The accused handed himself into police after hearing investigators were looking for him, but has not admitted any
involvement in the crime, claiming he has no full recollection of the incident. The owner of the pub was also arrested under suspicions he attempted to cover up the
crime by disposing of the weapon. He has since been released on bail, while another Brit, a 39-year-old woman, was cleared of any wrongdoing.
