Costa unites in remembrance

COMMUNITIES come together to salute the fallen By Gemma Quinn ‘They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. And remember them we did as ser-

vices were held across the Costa Blanca. Remembrance Sunday services took place in Benidoleig, Calpe, Gandia, Javea and Benidorm. Following the service at the La Merced Church in Calpe, the Royal British Legion (RBL)

held their annual Poppy Party at Camping Fanadix with music by Rob Sweeney and an auction and raffle with all proceeds going to the Poppy Appeal. All money raised from this year’s appeal will support Armed Forces personnel and their families.
