West End taster WEST END performers and teachers have been on the Costa Blanca for a week-long workshop. Three teachers and principal Maggie Paterson from Pineapple Performing Arts School in London’s Covent Garden, taught pupils from the European School in Alicante a range of disciplines including

ballet, street dance, acting and vocal training as part of the performing arts classes. The workshop culminated in a variety performance at the Finca Bon Any in Mutxamel, Alicante. The school has previously taken students to London, but this time the teachers came to Spain, with Maggie already

planning future workshops and commenting on how impressed she was with the pupils’ dedication and enthusiasm. Debbie Nicholson from the European School said: “For me as a teacher this is great and the students have loved it.” See Page 20 for interview with Maggie Paterson.
