Pulled up for doing 213kph The Guardia Civil intercepted a driver who was travelling at 213 kilometres per hour on the Mediterranean motorway (A-7) as he was passing by the town of Roquetas de Mar. The 41-year-old driver, identified only with the initials JEL, and a resident of Barcelona, was travelling at high speed in a BMW X-5 and was detected by a static radar. The agents of the Guardia Civil supporting the radar a mile further down the road, pulled the driver over and told him that his vehicle’s speed had been recorded at 213 kilometres an hour. The stretch of road he was travelling on had a speed limit of 120 kilometres per hour.
