about their satisfaction with the municipality they had visited, the type of activities carried out and if they would return. More than half of those completing the survey (55 per cent) were from Spain. The remaining 45 per cent had their origins abroad, coming mainly from France (17 per cent)
and the United Kingdom (8 per cent). More than half said their main holiday activity was related to the beach and sun (69 per cent) followed by cultural visits (54 per cent). Tourism offices were also praised, scoring an average 9.5 out of 10 by visitors.
THE Marina de las Dunas in Guardamar has lost its prestigious Blue Flag status. The award was withdrawn due to an ‘inadequate’ lifeguard service.
