A visit to Eureka Springs is a treasure hunt. Around every corner and hidden staircase lies a piece of the past and a welcome to the present. As one of the largest Historic Districts in Arkansas, Eureka Springs is a mesmerizing blend of old and new. The National Trust for Historic Preservation heralds Eureka Springs as one of twelve Distinctive Destinations in America. We’re passionate about preservation and it shows!
The town has earned many accolades in recent years, including the Prettiest Small Town in America, the Best Small Art Town in the U.S., the Best Small Town to See Fall Foliage, the Top 10 Places to Travel, and the Best Haunted Town in the U.S., just to name a few.

This quaint little town with not a single traffic light is full of fun for you to discover. Explore the ups and downs of our safe, mountainside city on foot, by car, or by trolley and tram. The adventurous will enjoy miles of mountain biking trails.
Start at the Eureka Springs Historical Museum to learn about the people who put Eureka Springs on the map. Founded July 4, 1879, Eureka Springs celebrates its birthday at Basin Spring Park –– the renown healing spring of our past, the hub of our present, and the very heart of the city.
Our Victorian ancestors liked to stroll, and you’ll find paths to more than 50 landmark springs in The City that Water Built that drew health seekers before the turn of the 20th

century. Bring comfortable shoes. This Stairstep Town has 360 streets – some only a block long– that wind through town and none intersect at right angles.
Venture through history as you visit the hotels, shops, attractions and restaurants that call Eureka Springs home. Aptly named The Little Switzerland of America for its European look and terrain, Eureka Springs still has 68 miles of hand-stacked limestone walls, buildings, and more than a dozen properties on the National Register of Historic Places.
Our streets may be narrow, but our hearts are wide open! Come explore Eureka Springs and make lasting memories while you’re here!

Visit Eureka Springs in all of her seasons to embrace the wonder that draws visitors year after year. There’s a reason Eureka Springs has received so many accolades, including being named one of the top places to live and visit. Something about this small town has intrigued visitors since its founding days. Today is no different. Let Eureka Springs cast her spell on you in every season.
Spring and Summer Adventures: The folks at AARP named Eureka Springs the prettiest small town in the nation, and spring may be the prettiest season of all. Still cool but warming, spring unfolds as a wonderland of cheerful colors against limestone bluffs. Shops are stocking their newest finds, restaurants are putting the final touches on new menu items, and city-wide events like the St. Patrick’s and May Artrageous Parades are on the agenda. There are more than ten festivals during spring season, including Fiber in the Ozarks, the Eureka Springs Chocolate Lovers Festival, Spring Diversity, the UFO Conference, and Carving in the Ozarks.
By summer, the leaves are full, the rivers are running, and everything outdoors is popular: hiking and biking, boating, fishing, and swimming, ziplining and off-roading, tiger watching, sightseeing, and garden spotting, hidden gem finding, and patio sitting while relaxing over a great meal. Sidewalks in the historic district are bustling this time of year, with happy visitors enjoying all that Eureka Springs has to offer. Must-dos for summer include Opera in the Ozarks, celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, a whole slew of car club gatherings and parades, Eureka’s birthday bash, and the Basin Spring Park concert series!
Autumn Splendor: Named one the best small towns to see fall foliage, Eureka Springs in Autumn is a symphony of color. The weather is perfect for more outdoor activities, and one of the most popular is… shopping! The Hillberry Festival and the Ozark Folk Festival, with all its long standing traditions, kick off the season. There are several big gatherings, including the Jeep Jam, Bikes Blues and BBQ, and the Corvette Rally. Autumn closes with spooky season, featuring the Mad Hatter Ball, Voices of Eureka’s Silent City, and the much-loved Zombie Crawl.
Winter Magic: Winter in Eureka Springs is known as the secret season—the perfect time for a tranquil escape to a winter wonderland. Enjoy cozy settings, maybe a
crackling fireplace, and an entirely different view through the trees. We never know what kind of winter we will have, but usually, the area revels in a dusting of snow that blankets town and transforms the landscape into a picture postcard. We launch winter with Shop Small Saturday, the annual Tour of Homes, and of course, Santa in the Parade of Lights.
Home to more than 300 local working artists, many of whom are busy in their studios this time of year, Eureka Springs boasts its share of galleries. There’s a reason Eureka Springs was named the Best Small Art Town in the United States. Whether you’re looking to adorn your nest with a new favorite artist, add to a collection, or just admire, this is a great time to enjoy the art of Eureka Springs. The new Museum of Eureka Springs Art is the best place to start your journey. Not all shops, restaurants, and attractions will be open during winter, but that seems to add to the magical relationship you’ll make with Eureka Springs when you visit in the secret season. It’s the right time to make new friends and memories.

Eureka Springs is a great place for rallies, jamborees, and get-togethers like conferences, car groups and motorcycle clubs. At your next agenda meetup, consider mid-week a viable alternative when setting up your annual event dates.
Room Availability: Mid-week events make it more likely Eureka Springs can accommodate your group. Lodging hosts like the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks and Quality Inn, who excel at hosting large events, can better meet your needs mid-week. Whether you need more rooms, meeting space, or both, mid-week scheduling makes that possible. This goes for many smaller motels and campgrounds, too.
Room Discounts: Some lodging offers mid-week room discounts. You may be able to offer your attendees more bang for their buck, plus score those convenient room blocks.
A Quieter Pace: Since much of Eureka Springs’ visitor traffic is weekend-based, a mid-week event can make attractions, shopping, and restaurant availabilities more suitable for your group. Many attractions and restaurants would welcome mid-week business. They may even offer discounted options to accommodate your gathering. Check with the attractions and restaurants you’re interesting in visiting to see if a group event mid-week is a workable solution.

Navigating Historic Downtown: Let’s face it, parking in the Eureka Springs historic district can be challenging. With a mid-week agenda, group parking and street access is easier. Don’t forget the Trolley and Tram Tours for those group activities. Mid-week scheduling can give you prime-time sightseeing without the crowds.

Interaction with Locals: Part of the charm of Eureka Springs is imagining you live here. Weekends can be a hustle for shop owners and front line workers. Mid-week activities often bring out the locals who love to spend time rubbing elbows with visitors who share their love for Eureka Springs.
