eenagers and millennials adore this trend and have formed variations of the period with numerous ‘aesthetics’. Moreover, aesthetics such as the soft-boy and indie genre. Social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram have recently been popularizing such trends.

Baggy/over-sized clothing

In 2021 people have disassociated themselves from the previous trend of tight and constricting clothes, for example, skinny jeans.

Everyone is fond of the oversized/baggy clothes trend because it prioritizes comfort whilst still being sensibly fashionable. Any piece of apparel with a slightly enlarged look matched with the appropriate body proportions is a must-have. Vintage clothing has been given the most attention in this field. Baggy printed vintage t-shirts and classic clothes have influenced multiple styles. Such is not the first incident of oversized and ripped clothes abruptly accumulating popularity. Cargo pants, giant hoodies and wide-legged jeans are imperative to anyone wardrobe.

Because hydrating is arguably the most important step in your skincare routine, Charles Puza, M.D., board-certified dermatologist, reviews the most common moisturizing mistakes that are sabotaging your glowy skin goals.

You Apply On Dirty Skin One of the gravest moisturizer sins you can make if you're sensitive is applying lotion on dirty skin. Let me explain: A good moisturizer helps to seal your skin barrier. The barrier keeps the moisture in and the outside world—full of bacteria, allergens, and irritants—out. Thus, if you're applying moisturizer on dirty skin, you're locking in all the bad stuff, making

you vulnerable to irritation. Plus, your skin is most absorbent when it's damp, so wouldn't you want to get the most of the product? The takeaway: Always moisturize immediately after bathing so you're working with a clean foundation.

You Refrain From Applying On Acne-Prone Skin As someone who still does get breakouts, I understand the fear of slathering lotion on them.

Unless you apply additional serums, the morning requires a moisturizer with antioxidants and SPF, whereas the nighttime focuses on skin repairing. "We recommend using a combo moisturizer with SPF 30 in the morning and a thicker, more hydrating lotion at night," says Dr. Puza. "The thicker lotion in the evening is to help hydrate your skin after retinoids (which are so important to use regularly!) and prevent the dreaded 'retinol purge'".

You're Not Patient For Results It's easy to get impatient when your brandnew moisturizer isn't making a difference, but don't give up too quickly—patience is key with new products. "I tell everyone that you need to give a product at least four to six weeks before you make an informed opinion on it," says Dr. Puza. That being said, if a product is instantly irritating, stop using it.

You're Not Consistent I understand the temptation of using a slew of new products in a short time frame. However, consistency and patience go hand in hand in skincare. "You need to give your products time to work and develop a routine," says Dr. Puza. "Intermittent skin is not going to give you the best results." Once you start a routine—whether it's two steps or 19—make sure to stick with it.

Unscented generally means that the product doesn't have an obvious fragrance, but may contain substances that neutralize or mask the odors of other active ingredients (which don't always smell too great). Your best bet is reading over the ingredients list to confirm there are absolutely no fragrances present.

orn and bred in Harare, the Venda princess as I always call her, Machanzi started with Musikana Wemagitare as a pace setter of her career .The single enjoyed some airplay on radio and that's when I fell in love with her work and I said to myself I really need to keep her in my diary and like a hawk I will watch her and when she has finally risen to a reasonable sky height I will write a piece on her.

I think what sets her apart from everyone I've seen is that originality taste that is in her music and each and every song makes it clear that she is a gaile force that's growing by each interval .Music is all about knowing your genre and mastering it with the tip of hands and making sure you perfect each and every dynamic that's within that genre " I am African and I understand everything that I sing or instruments I play it's my culture so I never go wrong because it's something that I grew up listening to and artists such as Chiwoniso Maraire , Oliver Mtukudzi ,Jah Prayzah ,Ammara Brown , Tammy Moyo ,Yemi Alade , Beckie Johnz ,Tiwa Savage , Brenda Fassie ,Zonke and Sulumani Chimbetu inspired me a lot." said Machanzi.

Both these artists really played a pivotal role in shaping her musical presence in and across the region .Here is a view of what the afro fusion sensation had to say when she worked with the two;

"Chido, had the privilege to work with the Zimbabwean rap legend Maskiri and Afro Pop future legend Terry Africa" "Working with Terry Africa and Maskiri was the best emotional moment and a dream come true of my journey in music.

I look up to them, until now they are living legends, I learnt a lot. I thank them a lot for understanding my art. I'm grateful." It’s not always that a musician gets to work with her idol or that source of inspiration .Many even reach or surpass the success of their idols but they never even get a chance to share the stage with them but this is not the story of Chido. She recently spread her musical wings into the regional market and bagged a collabo with Becky Johns, a South Sudan artist based in Australia; "Working with Beçkie Johnz was a huge experience and I thank God for coming across a big star like her .Yes, Zimbabwean artist can sing with whoever they want it takes courage, discipline and focus." - Wise

Every musician also wishes to have a life past the glitz and glamour and I posed this one question to her that if it wasn't music ,how would she be surviving as Chido Machanzi and it seems she's more of a humanitarian person as she cited Social Work and Journalism as her other career options.

We are living at a time when there is so much femicide, rape, abuse and discrimination against women be it in access to health services and general treatment of women in the country as a whole .As an artist, Chido seeks to raise awareness by reminding women to always stand up when their rights are being abused. Every woman has a right to health services, education, career opportunities and a right to decide when she can get married .Every woman deserves to be a celebrated blessing by the time she dies.

Corona has led to the demise of many careers and the arts and music industry are the hard hit as much as people may try to deny it .It has also been a blessing in disguise as it has helped people to see beyond their abilities and try to find means in which they can survive, Machanzi had this to say;

"Corona has affected everyone all over the world not only artists so I believe God knows the way forward as long we are alive .We wait just like everybody until it gets better by doing other abilities that can make living in such a time as this bearable for example selling , looking for a part time job. It's good for now to avoid feeling depressed."

She has been appointed brand ambassador for South African based Zimbabwean insurance company Zororo-Phumulani which will last for a year and will be renewed thus according to the contract.

Following the completion of her high school education in Zimbabwe Gemma – and has played shows with South African artists such as Jimmy Nevis, Majozi, Goodluck, Freshly Ground and Matthew Mole. Gemma managed to continue

working closely with Zimbabwean musicians whilst in Cape Town, sharing the stage at the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts with one of Zimbabwe’s top artists – Jah Prayzah, as well as with the late Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi at Artscape Theater.

She makes regular trips back to Zimbabwe to perform at festivals such as HIFA, Miombo Magic and Shoko Festival. She performed at Sofar Sounds in London 2017, as well as performing for the Uk’s prestigious music channel ‘Mahogany Sessions’. Gemma opened for Grammy Award winning UK artist Joss Stone as part of Stone’s World Tour. ur bodies were created in different ways, shapes and sizes and with each contour, it’s an expression of a sociable atmosphere.

Therefore when all the habits are removed one can even pose for a picture or for a painting in a way of celebrating the diversity of our forms. I’ve been recently scrolling through various local pictures and I've come across nude photoshoots of certain local university students. It came as a shock and a thrill at the same time for little did I know that in our country we even offer such shoots .Not to say I hate nude photoshoots ,I for one would go for it ,obviously when the time is right and when I have achieved my body goals. The thrill cames from the story and emotion behind the whole concept that many people fail to see and that's gives the picture the living form.

In case you're wondering what's nude art. Well, nude art basically is posing for photos, drawings, paintings, sculptures etc. without clothing creating an impression that the photographer or artist intends. We may have come across a lot of nude shoots on erotica magazines or an art exhibition. The purpose varies from individual to individual.

Little did they know that the nakedness represented loss and being stripped of something valuable and her posing at the sea was a symbol of cleansing after loss?

Naked form dominates throughout art history even though there is still some gender parity between male and female models.

One of the major reasons behind such shoots is to raise awareness of a social issue .We are going through a time of body shaming ,trust me I've been a victim of that and it got me depressed for a while. For one to raise awareness that all body sizes and shapes matter one can just disrobe and shove that misconception.

We were born naked, for naked we came to earth and naked we shall go .The first dose of confidence should come when you are naked .Walking into a room full of camera, sets and lights, and just you and wearing your skin and posing as you feel can actually boost your confidence .Body confidence is an inevitable theme in modelling and one can also attain that my simply disrobing their habits and celebrate their physicality.

any have been asking me on how I sustain my body weight just by standing on my head .Well practice makes perfect and this position is for advanced yoga and it requires a lot of skill to attain it .Please note if you have had any neck ,shoulder or head injury do not attempt this position. Kids also under the age of seven should not attempt this as their spine is still delicate and cannot withstand their whole body weight just by thier shoulders. Make sure there is a three hour gap before your eating and yoga routine and foremost when attempting this pose .For all beginners make sure you are using the wall as a source of strength and there has to be a lot of cushions or blankets around you in case you fall well you will fall I did thrice whilst attempting it for the first time.

ove is a beautiful thing I always say but we mess it up, big time! Either we love those who do not love us or we are loved by those we do not like and the equation never seems to balance off in the end. So what to do then? I think if we had cupid going around pairing us up it would have been way better, each to their soulmate and this problem would be solved, right? Well not quite because the ratios claim there are more females existing on mother earth not quite sure how but it is what it is.

This cannot be a hindrance in finding the ones we love, settling, building families together and maybe growing old together and sharing the joys of seeing the 3rd and 4th generations springing out from us. However sometimes it is rather difficult to find someone you can vibe with, relate to and be goofy around and hence when you do, despite of your gender why not shoot your shot before that bird flies away into the unknown?

As to any process or situation there are equal and opposite forces that come into play, in this case negative and positive consequences. Studies have shown that expressing how you feel is liberating and leaves you in a less suffocating space and the opposite is true for repressing your feelings. I guess the million-dollar question would be, ‘What will happen now that I have told them I have a major crush or I want to date

you?’ The worst that could happen is your being rejected and the best being acceptance. However you would not know if a major leap of faith is taken though it should not be done blindly. I would advise that you study the situation you are in from all vertices and angles and be of clear understanding of the consequences to follow. Be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. Do know that there are two things involved and be in a position to accept either of the outcomes.

Ensure that people have access to clean water ,statistics have shown that long periods of drought have an effect while flooding can pollute clean water sources and cause outbreaks of disease.

The current water and sanitation in Zimbabwe faces many challenges around capacity . Access

to clean water is a basic right that is vital for survival, therefore drilling boreholes would be a benefit. Finding a hygiene way to dispose wastage , they dispose of menstrual products in domestic wastes and in public toilets without knowing the consequences of choking . So there should be a need to educate and make them aware about the environmental pollution and health hazards associated with them. The problem we facing as girl children in the rural areas is lack of Sanitary products , privacy drives majority of the girls away from school in rural areas .

Girls prefer to stay at home during menstruation for the fear of getting teased by boys , staining their uniforms as well as unclean toilets. Girls between 10 to 16 years old are severely affected by the lack of proper sanitation facilities ,including toilets, water , clean surroundings and sanitary napkins.

Menstrual cycle is normal but our attitude towards it is not and that needs to change (by you) .Taxing sanitary products is like taxing women for being women . Other problems include poverty,illiteracy, unemployment ,homelessness,crime and violence. Besides providing basic needs Zenande Foundation actually grooms and mound both Male and Female unlike any other organizations that only focus on “Taking a girl child” .

Zenande Foundation provides life lessons that will help the children believe that they have the power to achieve anything “if you have the idea or dream you can make it possible by being a possibility thinker” .I have established the “Focused Boys Campaign “that guides boys on life choices and provides programs that will keep them away from substance abuse and drugs.

I am inspired by my name “Zenande “ which means multiply and greatness therefore I will live up to my name ,my main inspiration comes out from helping many people as much as I can ,I can’t help everyone but the little things I do make a difference . I believe that inspiration is not what’s done to or for you ,but can also be inspired by what you go for others. Zenande Foundation would have built a home for unprivileged children , it would have created job opportunities that will increase the standard of living .
