Get Ready and be prepared As we learnt last summer, we can be without power or cut off by ooded roads for long stretches of time. Overall, the Coast fared better than some other areas and we had no loss of life, but events provided a reminder yet again, that we need to be prepared. Council meetings The children from Cooroy Community Kindergarten recently went on an excursion to visit the Noosa District State High School (NDSHS) farm and were hosted by the year 10 students. Farmer (teacher) John (above) explained to the curious kids where potato chips come from and the difference between good and bad insects. The high school runs a number of Agriculture strands as part of its curriculum. It has a menagerie of animals as well as fruit trees and vegetable beds on their farm behind the main school.
