Galactic/the Hip Abduction: The long-running New Orleans jamfunk band seems always to stop by Cleveland near Mardi Gras — or does it just seem that way? However the history goes, Galactic always delivers a hell of a dance party at Beachland, and we’d wager that tonight will be among the very best. The band’s canon goes back more than 20 years, but we’d recommend cuing up Into the Deep, which will surely prompt some guest singers tonight, and Carnivale Electricos. (A few years ago, singer Maggie Koerner joined the band for “Hey Na Na” and a few other tunes. It was a thrill.) They’re one of the most reliably exciting bands on the touring circuit — New Orleans does that sort of thing — and we can’t recommend enough this heater in an otherwise very cold Cleveland March.
