A dream destination: the Seychelles !

This archipelago of 115 islands lies in the heart of the Indian Ocean, less than 3 hours by plane from Réunion.

With origins in granite or coral, the Seychelles lend themselves to many types of travel.

Their islands of fine sandy beaches are dotted with guesthouses of friendly charm, hotels nestling under coconut palms, and villas of natural materials and impeccable comfort.

A stay in the archipelago is a guarantee of breathtaking natural beauty, perfect for the pleasures of hiking and water sports.

Seychelles offers a wide range of activities, from golf to deep-sea fishing, snorkelling and diving. Relaxation is also a way of life in Seychelles, and you'll find some of the finest spas in the world!

The archipelago's 455km² of land and more than 1 millionkm² of sea offer a wide variety of experiences, whether on a tour, a combined trip or a cruise.

With 88,000 inhabitants, the population is small but very welcoming.

In Mahé, as elsewhere, French is one of the official languages, along with English and Seychellois Creole. The capital Victoria lives to the rhythm of the archipelago.

It evokes the days when Mahé was known as the ‘island of plenty’. Sailors would stop off in the Seychelles to stock up on water, wood and tropical fruit. Pirates also frequented the islands. They would hide their booty there, particularly on Mahé, in the Bel Ombre region.

This tour will take you to the 2 most important islands, Mahé and Praslin .... Let the adventure begin!

Reunion, the intense island

!

Réunion is a tropical island in the heart of the Indian Ocean, 800 km east of Madagascar and 200 km from Mauritius.

Réunion is home to a still-active volcano, the Piton de la Fournaise, and its frequent eruptions offer an exceptional spectacle.

The chaotic terrain of the interior, dominated by the Piton des Neiges at an altitude of 3,070 m, the roof of the Indian Ocean, is home to flora and fauna that is unique in the world, a veritable paradise for nature lovers.

With the creation of the Parc National de La Réunion covering 43% of its territory, the island was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its ‘Pitons, cirques and remparts’ in 2010.

Réunion has a rich coastline, with lagoons and white sandy beaches, as well as wilder coasts cut and battered by the Indian Ocean.

Réunion Island boasts an exceptional geography and natural heritage: beaches and lagoons on the west coast, wild coasts on the east and south coasts, the 3 majestic cirques of Salazie, Mafate and Cilaos in the centre of the island, countless peaks, waterfalls and ramparts, all of which offer spectacular panoramas and breathtaking views, and of course the famous active volcano of Piton de La Fournaise, to name but a few of the highlights of what is also known as the ‘big show’ island.

Réunion enjoys a tropical climate softened by the trade winds, so it's neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter, but climatic conditions and temperatures can vary considerably between the coast and the highlands.

The island's rugged topography also gives it its own specific characteristics and numerous microclimates…

atmosphere. You follow the road to “Grand Anse” creek, with its beach bordered with coconut palms, a real heaven of peace.

Every weekend, the brand newly married couple investigate the place for the pictures. The many lookout points afford the enjoyment of discovering this charming part of the island: Manapany, Langevin, and “Cap Méchant”: there the ocean crashes in impressive waves against the jagged black lava cliffs.

A little bit farther, crossing the bottom part of the coloured wood forest, you discover, at the foot of the volcano, the recent lava flows.

After a possible lunch (own) In the afternoon you will enjoy a total landscape breaking up with the “Great Burnt Land”: actually, the tropical exuberance makes way for a much more mineral environment.

Lots of those rivers of lava increased the island over the ocean of tens hectares! The whole region has a strange atmosphere to it, due perhaps to the fact that no dwelling can be seen for about thirty kilometres

In the afternoon experience an unique activity the lava tunnels discovery:

From 7 to 77 years old, with family or friends, come and share a magical and unusual moment!

You'll be taking part in a journey to the heart of Réunion Island's volcanoes: ceilings from which melting dark chocolate seems to flow, benches of lava, forests of stalagmites, a shark, a ‘dodo’... and much more if you let your imagination run wild in the Lava Tunnels.

In a friendly atmosphere, your hiking guide will take you on an original tour of the lava tunnels, with lots of explanations about volcanology.

The bowels of the Piton de la Fournaise are full of surprises. Adults and children alike will enjoy this journey into almost unknown territory. Stalagmites in the shape of little fir trees , perimorphs in the shape of a shark's head... it's hard to imagine such an underground spectacle when you've only ever seen the volcano from above. Réunion is the only island in the Trapèze des Mascareignes to offer this exploration.

its representative, studied foreign languages at university (English/Spanish at the Université de la Réunion), followed by further studies in the tourism sector with a marketing option (Ecole Supérieure de Tourisme de Nice). Subsequently, it was in the field and in various European countries that he acquired the experience and skills that are essential in this business sector. On his return to Réunion in April 2001, he began working in various local organisations. This enabled him to understand the realities of Réunion and to get to know the Réunion product in depth.

Over the years, he has built up a network of expertise around him, which today gives him a global approach to this product (ARGAT, SYPRAL, UHR, UMIH, FRT networks, etc.).

Since 2006, ETHNIX TOURS has been working in the field, in contact with the players in the Réunion region. Finally, in November 2010, ETHNIX TOURS was registered as a travel and holiday operator with Atout France (the government body that manages the tourism industry in France). See the ‘About us’ tab.
