When studying maths, we aim to build your confidence, improve your skills and prepare you for your next steps. We have experienced tutors who can support you no matter what level you are already at. You may be a complete beginner or just want to refresh your memory and gain an up to date, nationally recognised, qualification.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS MATHS

ENTRY LEVEL, LEVEL 1 & LEVEL 2 - PART-TIME

WHAT WILL I DO?

On Functional Maths we adopt a range of teaching methods to suit your individual needs and build confidence and brush up on your everyday maths skills such as calculating numbers; confidently working with fractions, decimals and percentages; measures, reading and analysing information and presenting in charts/graphs.

YOU NEED:

To complete initial and diagnostic assessments to identify current skill levels and make sure you are placed on the most appropriate level.

WHAT’S NEXT?

On completion of the level 2 course you could apply for a vocational course, an Access course or GCSE Maths. The qualification at level 2 is accepted by most employers and higher education providers.

GCSE MATHS

GCSE - PART-TIME WHAT WILL I DO?

Our tutors adopt a range of teaching methods to suit an individual’s needs as they build confidence around the GCSE Maths curriculum. You will study a programme that encompasses the whole of the maths curriculum this will include: numbers, algebra, ratio, geometry, measures, statistics and probability. Your learning will be targeted to your starting point following diagnostic assessments.

YOU NEED:

We complete initial and diagnostic assessments with all learners to ensure suitability for the course.

WHAT’S NEXT?

GCSE maths is required in many professions such as teaching or nursing. It can also lead to A levels and is a good foundation for enrolling on Access to Higher Education.
